Title (Ⅱ) Who is Jesus (John 1:1~18)
Contents
① I want you to give me great grace when I preach the words “In him was life, and this life was the light of men” (verse 4), continuing from the previous hour.
“What did life mean in it?”
① “In Him” means the word “in God” who was in the name of the Word in the beginning. ② Also, “the Word” is a pronoun “in Jesus” who took flesh and became a human being. ③ “Life” means being connected and united with God, the source of life, who is the eternal life, and being filled with God who is life. ④ “Death” means being cut off from God and connected with the devil to be destroyed. ⑤ In “God the Word,” there was the purpose, choice, predestination, creation and providence to make us whole and whole. ⑥ In “Jesus,” there was forgiveness, justification, reconciliation, new life, It is said to have the power to regenerate, sanctify, and glorify people through the inspiration of truth.
“The word of life in him is the word that only God and Jesus have life”
① “Only in the grace that works through God the Word” and only in the merit of the atonement in which the “Word” became flesh, died on the cross, and lived, there is the grace of power to connect God, who is life, and creation to eternal life ② There is no absolute salvation in any religion or anything other than that. ③ Therefore, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6) “There is no other name under heaven by which men can be saved” (Acts 4: 12).
“It means that there is life only when we receive God, who is life.”
① When God conforms to the work of making the creation itself free from blemish in life, wisdom, power, and morality, it itself becomes perfect like Christ ② And God reveals Himself to know Him, and the creation knows this and knows God It is saying that there is life only in the one God takes responsibility for by receiving it. ③ Therefore, it is said that there is life in receiving when God gives Himself, and there is life only in that which is perfected when God perfects all creation. ④ Therefore, there is no life unless God gives it, and there is no life except that which God has given, and there is no life except that which God makes perfect.
“The life in him speaks of the saving power of God.”
① The content of “life” is power and ability, so poor life has poor power, imperfect, finite life has imperfect power and finite power. ② Even a young man with a strong physique has no strength without life. ③ The life in Jesus has omnipotent power, infinite power, perfecting power, eternal unchanging power, life-giving power, power to expel death, and power to expel and cleanse the dirt that is a by-product of death. ④ Therefore, life is pure and perfect, and the kingdom of heaven is a clean country, where only clean things can be bought.
“In him, life is the power to turn people of darkness into people of light.”
① In Jesus, there is the power to regenerate, sanctify, and glorify human beings who have died in their sins and trespasses into eternal life and eternal life. ② Therefore, those who have received Jesus, the life, as their master are called the salt and light of the world. (Matthew 5:13~14) ③ “Light” is a descriptive expression of “darkness”, and “light” is the one who taught people all good things. As a result, everything that the Bible calls blessing, “darkness” refers to things that harm people, and everything that the Bible calls “woe”. ④ Therefore, living, having strength, health, wealth, and peace... are light, and the opposite is darkness.
“Be filled with God who is life and become a man of great light” (John 10:10)
① “Every good gift and every perfect gift comes down to us from above, from the Father of lights, through Jesus Christ (James 1:17). ② Let's become a person of greater light by living with faith in complete obedience to the Lord as our master.
