Title: Who is Jesus / Mark 10:13-16

Who is Jesus / Mark 10:13-16

Hug Jesus, this is the title of this morning's sermon. Of course, sometimes he beats them with rods, but Jesus is the one who embraces us. Jesus who hugs us, Jesus who embraces us, Jesus who lays our hands on us, and Jesus who blesses us are our Jesus.

1. A father's love that caused Seung-i

You will remember a child named Seung. Been to our church twice. Seung-i was born as a baby with cerebral palsy. Even as I got older, I couldn't control my body properly. I couldn't speak properly. His father, evangelist Kim Il-kwon, was overcome with extreme anguish and despair and cried out to God in prayer. They fasted for 40 days and cried out. Evangelist Kim Il-kwon poured his passionate love into Seung-i in the midst of pain and despair. I took Seung-i to the stream and made him walk on the creek and gravel fields. It was to revive the sensation of the soles of the feet. He hugged Seung-i and said, "Dad loves Seung-i" over and over again. In the end, my father brought Seung-i to his feet. With the power of love, as they hugged, Dad lifted Seung-i up. Seungi got up and started walking. I went to school and even became a little poet who wrote poetry.

“Wake up, monk, weep and die without eating for forty days and die on the day when you only stared at the sky, tears flowed The stream of the valley On the thirtieth day, the father’s tears were dry, and only the bones were bare. Go by faith, 1234 Walking along streams and gravel fields, teaching horses, cerebral palsy melted with love, the iron barrier, now a little poet, as kind as an angel, as beautiful as a flower Love that blooms in tears, my daughter Seungi"

Seung-i wrote a lot of poems, but also wrote the following poem titled "Butterfly".

“Butterfly, butterfly, fly high and high, fly high above the clouds to the ends of the sky. Fly to the end while singing a domina song. Fly to the sky while praying to God. Let’s sing a song together with the butterfly and me, take prayers and the word to God. Let's go home. June 14, 1990"

2. Jesus Hugs Little Children

In today's text, it says that Jesus embraced the little children, laid their hands on them, and blessed them. "He took the little children, laid his hands on them, and blessed them." It is said that people brought little children to Jesus in hopes of being touched by Jesus. Some of those young children may have become ill. There must have been children who were often nervous. There must have been children who were good at lying. There must have been children with a bad temper. On the other hand, there must have been children who were not ill and had a good heart. Anyway, people came to Jesus with little children hoping that Jesus would touch him.

Everyone wants their children to do well. He wants his children to be healthy, kind, wise and beautiful. So they brought the children to Jesus. He did not take him to the academy lecturer, he did not take him to the hospital, he brought him to Jesus. That's very well done. Of course, when our children have problems, we can go to the hospital, we can go to counseling, we can go to lawyers. But first you have to bring them to Jesus. Jesus commanded, "Let the children come to me, and do not forbid them." And he hugged, laid his hands on, and blessed the little children.

Jesus appears in the Bible as the one who hugs and touches. In Luke 15, Jesus is described as the one who finds a lost sheep and then carries it on his shoulder and returns home. In Matthew 9, he is described as the one who took the dead girl's hand and raised her up. Jesus hugs the little children and lays his hands on them. Jesus is the One who finds the lost children and brings them home on his shoulders. Jesus is the one who takes the dead and raises them back to life.

3. The bosom we must embrace is God's bosom

People become healthy and happy only when they are embraced by God. When children are held in the arms of Jesus, they become kind, bright, and beautiful. Not just children. The same goes for adults. There are so many people who need the bosom of God. There are many people who want to be wiped out and die like Elijah. It is said that the number of homeless people wandering around Seoul Station after losing everything is increasing. All became like lost sheep. He became like a prodigal son who left home. It was swept away and became like the dead. Children as well as adults do. Now, the bosom we must return to embrace is the bosom of God the Father.

In Luke 15:20, when the prodigal son returned to his father, the father embraced him and even kissed him. “My father had compassion, and ran and hugged his neck and kissed him.” Only when we are in God's arms can we enjoy peace, comfort, and joy. God has promised to embrace us and embrace us. Isaiah 46:3,4 said so. “Hear me, house of Jacob, all you remnant of the house of Israel; you who were embraced by me in the womb, and cherished by me in the womb, I will do this to your old age, and I will bear you until you are gray; I have formed you. embrace, embrace, ask and bring down." When Jerijah was wiped out and wanted to die, God came and touched Elijah (1 Kings 19:5,6). We live in the arms of God and in the arms of Jesus.

The bosom we all need to return to and embrace, whether adults or children, is the bosom of God and the bosom of Jesus. “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden.” We must put ourselves in the arms of God and we must put them in the arms of Jesus. We must be embraced in God's arms every morning and in Jesus' arms every night. The place we will take our children to is in the arms of Jesus. "Let the children come to me, and do not forbid them." When our children are held in the arms of Jesus, they become healthy, kind, and beautiful. Samuel, who went up to the house of God from an early age, became the leader of the nation. Young children like Seong Hye-jin and Hwang Chi-shin and students like Seok-won come to God's house every morning. Now let's bring our children to Jesus. May the Lord embrace, lay His hands on, and bless our children. 530 sheets
