Title: Who is the Foolish Man?

who is stupid
Text: Luke 12:13-21
"One of the crowd said to him, "Teacher, command my brother to divide the inheritance with me." And he said to him, "Son, who made me judge or divider over you?" And he said to them, "Beware of all covetousness. And he told them in parables, saying, “There was a rich man in his field that yielded abundantly, and he thought in his heart, “What shall I do, since I have no place to store the grain?” And he said, “I will do this; I will tear down my barn and build it bigger. I will lay up all my grain and all my goods there. And I will say to my soul, "Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; rest, eat, drink, and be merry." But God said, "You fool, tonight your soul will be restored to you. Whose will be what you have prepared?” So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.
It is said that the outlook for the Korean economy is very uncertain these days.
Contrary to the expectations of the government experts in charge of economic policy, I was able to feel that the economy was struggling as I watched Korea's economic growth again this year and lowered to the 3% level. At a time when the economy is so difficult this past week, we have seen two extreme cases. In one case, there was a story of a man who lost tens of billions of dollars while gambling abroad, and on the other hand, I saw the case of an elderly displaced person who donated 27 billion won of his fortune accumulated through hard work to society without giving it to his children .
Everyone! What do you feel here? Even though we live under the same sky, how do we think about wealth? Thus, it is easy to see that one is the object of condemnation and the other is the object of respect. If so, how should people of faith in Jesus Christ live in this world with respect to wealth? is a problem.
1. I think that there are three major categories of wealth.
① First, there are people who collect and write illegally.
② Second, there are people who spend only for themselves without effort, that is, with unearned income.
③ Thirdly, there are people who honestly use sweat and save it for good.
These three types of people coexist in our society.
Which category do you think I belong to now?
For the most part, there are few people who honestly put it together and put it to good use.
Therefore, when you see these people, you are the object of praise. There is a saying in Korean, "I earn like a beggar and spend like a jeongseung". That means that it is more difficult to use wealth correctly than it is to accumulate it, and it will also mean that wealth shines when it is used wisely.
① However, there are some people who do not choose any means in collecting wealth.
In other words, it is a case of deceiving others, defrauding, or forcibly taking it as one's own. For these people, only money is on God's place. None of these people believe in Jesus, but sometimes Christian names are included in that category. At the same time, there are cases in which donations or donations are made to churches or charities as compensation. These are people who have been tempted by wealth.
② On the other hand, there are people who collect them without effort and use them only for themselves.
It means so-called unearned income. As you can see, real estate speculation or things that happen around power. I saw someone say this. He said that real estate <investment> and real estate <speculation> should be distinguished, and he was told that he had invested in real estate and not speculated. The nuances of the words <investment> and <speculation> are different, but anyway, there are people who use it for their own sake by collecting wealth that is not a reward for their efforts.
These are money exchanged in the name of nothing in return, one of the common sayings in the political world these days. It's all dishonest money. The money came in without effort, so it is also dishonestly spent. Such people are among those who are still leading the way in our country, and it is common to see people who are successful and in high positions. These people are shameful people. You can tell by looking at them all covering their faces.
2. In today's text, the parable of a fool is found. A young man came to Jesus and asked his brother to share his parents' inheritance. At that time, the Lord said something to this young man. He told the parable, saying, "Man! Who made me a judge or divider over you? Beware of all covetousness, for a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."
A rich man thought in his heart that his field was bountiful, and he thought, “What shall I do, since I have no place to store grain? And I thought so...
"This man! Who knows that I became the pastor as your marriage problem solver?"
I once said to myself, "Be careful, resist the greed of lust! People's love is not a one-way street like you do." Being rich in the world is not for everyone. There must be something special about it. Therefore, it is not rude to view the rich as bad. You will have to judge what is right or wrong by looking at your actions. He worked hard and reaped a great harvest. It doesn't come naturally if you want to reap a lot. You may have woken up earlier than others, used your brain, researched and developed, or put a lot of effort into it. So I got a good harvest, and I tried to build more sheds to store it. In all of this process, I don't think there is any wrong idea. But why 'stupid one!' have you been told?
1) First, it was because he knew the abundance of produce only as a reward for his own efforts.
I have seen cases where, no matter how much a farmer sweats, a typhoon blows in vain. Neither the orchard farmers nor those who grow melons, watermelons, and tomatoes can bear fruit without adequate rain and sunlight. So it means that half needs help from heaven. However, this man did not remember God when his produce was plentiful. The same is true for study results. If you've spent years studying that hard and finally got your doctorate, there are people who think that they've earned it through their own efforts. That's why they try to build a bigger barn, hoping for a bigger seat, a bigger position, and a bigger payoff. There are many fools around us in this field. There are many people who forget God when they do well in church, enter college, pass an exam, or rise to a higher position when they were students. This kind of person is just like this rich person.
2) Second, because he was only trying to store all his produce in the barn he had built.
The human mill is never a safe place. It's a barn that could suddenly collapse one day. It is the grain of human beings that sits down on the road overnight. There are still many such people. There are many people who demolish warehouses several times a day and build new ones, aiming for a quick profit. Storehouses built by human hands without God will collapse in an instant. That's why he said, "Lay up your treasures in heaven." What does it mean to store up in heaven? It means acknowledging God by means of wealth. Do not lose God because of your wealth, but remember God when you manage it in your own hands.
3) Third, because the abundance of possessions was mistaken for the abundance of life. Humans are said to be spirit creatures, but there are some things that are inferior to animals. It is said that the beast knows the day of its death. It is said that when it is time for an elephant to die, it must go to the place where its ancestors are buried and die. So, where ivory was found, there are ivory graves. But humans don't have that. The person who will die today has no idea of it. Without knowing what disease is going on in my body, I only try to build a larger grain stem. That's exactly what this man was thinking. He said, "My soul! We have many goods laid up for many years to come. Let us rest, eat, drink, and be merry." That's just stupid. A person's life does not consist in the abundance of possessions. Nevertheless, what makes people foolish is that they think that if they earn a lot, they can live a long time. I mean, this is stupid.
How many people live like this today? What are you worried about right now? Is it because you don't have a shed to build up? Or do you find it difficult to eat every day, let alone build it up? Which one? Why are our hearts anxious?
The covetousness of the poor and the covetousness of the rich are the same. In some ways, the covetousness of the poor is more likely to lead away from God. So, aren't the lives that are just going away? So, didn't it say, 'We are those who have given up being human'? If you look at the hearts of such people, it means that they even consider such crimes because their greed for material things is greater than that of ordinary people.
Even today, for those who live honestly and truthfully, there are many people who are living with their neighbors, remembering God even with a small amount of output. If you look at the lessons about wealth in the Bible, all of them speak of using it correctly. He told them to write while thinking of the poor, strangers, orphans and widows in the city. If we look at this a little bit more, we should always think about whether to increase the storage or use it usefully before collecting them while discussing with God. If you do not know this principle, you are bound to be a fool. We are all wise men who lay up treasures in heaven
I hope this will be
