Title: Who is the Good Man?
Contents
Subject: Who is Good?
Text: Luke 10:30-37
Our church's goal this year is to become a good and faithful worker.
Another word for being good is being good. We continue to pray to become good and good saints (husband, wife, children, students, youth, neighbors) this year.
When there is a good and good wife (husband, children) in the home, the family is harmonious and full of joy and happiness, and when there are good and good leaders and people in society and the country, the country must be a good country to live in, and there must be many good and good believers in the church. The church can grow beautifully and bear the ministry of light and salt.
So today we ask ourselves this question and try to answer that question.
"Am I really a good and good person?"
Most people answer this question in the affirmative.
"Even though I'm not completely good, I'm not a bad person or a bad person.
But change the subject of the question and ask it like this.
"Is that person really a good and good person?"
A lot of people answer this question in the negative way.
"Hey, that person is kind? You don't know him, but you don't know him for a long time! How many people have been hurt and harmed because of him! That person is a bad person, a bad person, and the quality is bad!
In other words, people have a positive view of themselves, their husbands, their own wives, their children, and their family members, while they have a negative view of others and their wives, husbands and children.
For example, it is common for children in puberty to have an accident and go down the wrong path when they are hanging out with friends.
Almost all parents say this.
"It's because my child hangs out with bad friends!"
In other words, my children are good, but because of someone else's children, my children have gone down the wrong path.
Ladies and gentlemen, because Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit, the concept of good and evil has been misunderstood between man and God and between man and man.
So, because humans say that God is good and good, people say that God is bad and evil, so there is a rift between God and people, and because some say that God is evil and others say that it is good, there is a fight between people. When the concept of good and evil is different between husband and wife and between friends, a lot of quarrels occur.
In the case of a couple, if they live together for a long time, the concept of good and evil will become one, and fights and quarrels will decrease. In other words, the couple resembles each other.
However, if a couple, children, or neighbors and friends follow God's concept of good and resemble each other properly, they should all receive God's blessings and grace, but the big problem is that they resemble God's concept of good in a wrong way.
In this regard, it is a very precious blessing and grace for the whole family to come to church and hear the good word of God and become good people.
In today's text, Jesus said this.
“A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he met a robber, and the robbers stripped him of his clothes, beat him, and left him completely dead.”
Ladies and gentlemen, Jerusalem is at an altitude of 762m above sea level, and Jericho is a lowland 250m below sea level. The road from Jerusalem to Jericho is a steep downhill road, and there are many rocks, so it is a good place for robbers to hide in between.
It's like going from Calgary to Drumhella, and there is a gloomy atmosphere that seems like a downhill road and dinosaurs will appear.
But unfortunately, a man was passing by and he met the gangster. It's okay for the robbers to have their clothes taken and money taken away, but the robbers took it so terribly that I lost consciousness and fell to the ground and almost died.
At this time, a priest was going down that road and saw him.
Since he's a priest, of course, "No, look. Get your mind right!" And he should have supported him and saved him, but the priest looked at him and said, "Ouch, there seems to be a robber around. Gael, save me!" I hurriedly avoided it and passed by.
Then, after a while, a Levite working in the temple of God saw him on the way and said, "No, how many sins did this man have caused such a great disaster! What am I going to do to rescue such a sinner?" and ran away from him.
However, a Samaritan, who was always despised by the Jews for being mixed with Gentile blood, was passing by and found this man, took pity on him, gave first aid, brought him to a nearby inn, took care of him with care, and told the owner of the inn the next day. He gave the money and left saying, "Take care of this person. If there is more money, I will pay it back when I come back."
After doing this illustration, Jesus said:
“Which of these three do you think will be the neighbor of the robber?”
The disciples said to him, "Lord, you are the one who showed mercy."
Then Jesus said to him, "You must do likewise."
Guys, there are a lot of people who have been robbed around us.
Especially in Korea recently, many people, including people from Gangwon-do, met a very scary robber.
The robber's name is Typhoon Rusa. How ruthless and cruel the robber was, he killed 200 people, destroyed numerous buildings and houses, and turned the whole of his life into a wasteland.
Because of this, many Koreans are taking the lead to help my compatriots who have been hit by robbers. Watching a very young Korean talent willingly donate 100 million won for a gifted pension, we, as priests and as Levites working in God's temple, our conscience is too strong to ignore our compatriots who were hit by robbers. It was painful.
Of course, even though our church is only 5 years old, there are some people who are not willing to say that they are using a lot of materials to support missionaries every month, pay off church mortgages, and do other things.
And to be honest, immigrant life doesn't make a lot of money, and God knows all of our circumstances, so no one will swear when it comes to the disaster relief pension. But for some reason, when I think of my compatriots who met the robber, and when I think of the Lord's words today, my heart aches so much that I can't just ignore it.
Face isn't the problem, money isn't the problem, the good conscience inside me can't just ignore it.
So I thought about it. "However, I am so thankful that my family and I did not die without damage from the typhoon."
Guys, compared to those who lost their homes, lost their homes, and lost loved ones, aren't my circumstances still better than them? Aren't you grateful that I never met robbers, that I didn't suffer so much damage, and that I had the heart and strength to help them?
Therefore, our church also wants to participate in this fundraiser for the disaster and provide booby for those who have been hit by robbers like the Good Samaritan. Of course, our situation is not so good. Sometimes it's not too much.
However, each one helps as much as he can, and tries to help from the church's budget.
The Lord says this today.
“In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
“Do good, be rich in good works, be generous and sympathetic” (1 Timothy 6:18).
"God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that you, having always had all sufficiency in all things, abound to every good work" (2 Corinthians 9:8).
“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to the household of faith” (Galatians 6:10).
“I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6).
Ladies and gentlemen, God wants to do more good deeds by praising good people and blessing them. And Jesus in us wants to do good through us today.
God will be very pleased with us if we do good deeds again today even if we are having a hard time. For the kingdom of God is cultivated through good and good people.
The Bible says, "Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith. Then a great crowd added to him" (Acts 11:24), and "God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good” (Acts 10:38).
And the Bible says.
“Have a good conscience” (1 Timothy 1:19).
“Have a good conscience” (1 Peter 3:16).
“Fight the good fight” (2 Timothy 4:7).
“Have evidence of good works” (1 Timothy 5:10).
“Good wisdom is gracious” (Proverbs 13:15).
“Desire for what is good” (1 Timothy 3:1)
“Speak good things” (Romans 12:17), “Speak good things” (Ephesians 4:29).
“Do what is good” (Proverbs 4:2).
Ladies and gentlemen, the Bible describes God's hand as a 'good hand' (Nehemiah 2:18), Jesus as the 'good shepherd' (John 10:14), and the Holy Spirit as a 'good god' (Nehemiah 9:20). called In other words, Christians are those who receive blessings and inherit the kingdom of heaven by doing good and good works with the good and good Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Regarding this, the Bible says:
“Blessed is the one who has good eyes, for he gives food to the poor” (Proverbs 22:9).
“Those who have done good will come out of the resurrection of life” (John 5:29).
Folks, in the last days, people do not like good things and do not like to engage in good works (2 Timothy 3:3).
However, it would be good if we could become good people with the power of God and do good things to please God, and finally, we should all praise the good God forever in the kingdom of heaven where good people live.
