Title: Who Is Wise? / Proverbs 24:5-10
Proverbs are often referred to as wisdom books. The reason is that this book clearly presents the methods and principles for human beings to live wisely centered on God in the complex and diverse reality structure.
Therefore, those who meditate on the words of Proverbs and live as they are will lead a wise life.
Then, what kind of God's grace does the wise person receive? What kind of God's blessings will those who live by God's word receive?
1. A wise man is strong
Verse 5: “A wise man is strong, and a knowledgeable man increases strength...
A wise person is naturally strong because God is with him and God gives him grace.
--In the case where David, who was only a shepherd, defeated Goliath, we see the strength of wisdom. Where did David's strength come from? Because God is with you.
Let us live a strong life with God's help.
2. The wise person wins
Verse 6 of the text...< You must fight with counsel. The victory is in the abundance of counselors.>
Those who believe in God must live a life of victorious battles with the world. Don't show weakness. That is why we must always live a victorious life with the strength that the Lord gives us.
And God opens the way for us to win if we live according to what he says. I hope that you will live a victorious life with the heart of horses.
3. A wise person is respected for doing good
Verses 8-9...< Those who conspire to do evil are called extraordinary. The thoughts of a fool are sin, and a scornful person is hated by men.>
This means to be respected.
We Christians should live with respect.
4. A wise man does not lose heart
Verse 10: <If you are discouraged in the day of trouble, you show the weakness of your strength.>
The saints do not become discouraged because God is with them. Disappointment is the greatest sin. I believed in God and prayed, but I have to believe that God will give me. Why do I feel discouraged?
A wise man never becomes discouraged.
Proverbs 24:16...<For though the righteous shall fall seven times, he will rise again, but the wicked fall by calamity.>
Let us live a wise life. So, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will have a blessed life that returns the glory of God.
