Title: Why Was Israel Defeated?

Contents 1st 3rd 4 : 1 - 4

Israel and the Philistines bordered each other, so there was always war. One day Israel was defeated and 4,000 men were killed. Why the hell did you lose? An elder got up and took the ark of God from Shiloh and went to war with the belief that God would save us if we put it next to us. ended. Why did you have such a big defeat? This is because they tried to take advantage of God, but could not offer a living sacrifice that is pleasing to God. This is because he offered sacrifices in a hypocritical and hypocritical form for his own victory. Today, there is such a risk.

What kind of worship is acceptable to God?

<First> God is a Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24). Worship in spirit and truth means 'worship in the Spirit and in truth'.

<Second> You must offer a living sacrifice in your body.

The Apostle Paul said, "I beseech you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship" (Romans 12:1). As in the time of Isaiah, even if they were offered as countless sacrifices of 144,000 on the Passover, sacrifices that did not offer their lives were not accepted.

Old Testament Sacrifice and New Testament Worship

What the Old Testament sacrifices and the New Testament worship have in common is that they offer only to God. The difference is that in the Old Testament times, sacrifice was the condition for the forgiveness of sinners from a God who judges, a God who is angry, and a God who fears. Worship in the New Testament era is a celebration of life where forgiven humans praise their salvation and meet the God of love.

So, what is the content of worship? It can be summarized into four main categories.

The first is prayer. Worship begins with prayer and ends with prayer. A prayer of contemplation at the beginning of the service is a prayer of repentance, and a blessing at the end of the service is a prayer of determination and dedication. And public prayer should be prepared for one week as a prayer on behalf of all the saints.

The second is praise. Hymns are the flower of worship. A hymn should be a week's testimony.

The third is to make a donation. It is a confession that all tithing belongs to God. Tithing is a confession of faith. Therefore, it is better to give your name than to give anonymously. The spirit of giving is not that it is important to give a lot, but to give the first thing, the first thing.

<Conclusion>

It is a tragedy to attend worship services and return without receiving the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, comfort from God, rest and joy of the soul, healing of the heart, and form of the soul. Do you not want to see God in worship? God gives these things to us through worship. Worship is the greatest blessing God has given us. I pray that you will be filled with these blessings every Sunday worship service. God is among us by spirit. God in spirit looks at the heart of worshipers. I hope that you will be present to God as a living sacrifice, holy in spirit, in truth, and in body. Worship does not end with worship on Sunday. It is to go out into the world, obey God's word, and live a life that reflects God's glory.
