Title: Why We Praise
Content 32 Reasons to Praise 060416-2
On Palm Sunday, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. A large crowd, leading and following, welcomed the Lord by taking off their cloaks and spreading them on the road or cutting palm branches and waving them on the road.
They had great expectations of Jesus as he entered.
The people thought that the day had come for them to be freed from the tyranny of Rome,
He liked that he would get rid of poverty and sorrow and live a life of his own. It was to make Jesus king. This was the earnest and desperate expectation of the people. Jesus' disciples were full of hope that they would soon become ministers and prime ministers as the Lord entered to be king.
However, when Jesus entered Jerusalem, he did not go to Herod's palace or Pilate's official residence, but went up to the temple in Jerusalem and threw down the tables and things of those who traded in the temple, overturned them, and drove them out and cleaned the temple. On Tuesday, he rebuked the hypocrisy and abominable sins of the time bomb Pharisees and Sadducees with fiery wrath, creating a strange atmosphere in Jerusalem. Then he said, "I will be killed by them, and then I will rise again in three days." He was only saying strange things.
On Thursday night, when he gathers the disciples and breaks bread, my flesh will be torn like this and my blood will flow like this wine to death. This flesh will be your food and my blood will be your true drink. 'Do this in remembrance of me.' He was just saying rude things.
Then that night, he went to the mountain to pray, but the disciples lost all their expectations, and they were afraid because they could not predict what was to come. At the dawn of Friday, Jesus was sold and taken away by the traitor Judas Iscariot, and from that time onward, Jesus was dragged here and there, beaten and kicked and kicked, never using his great power, and was just being so helpless. I did.
When Jesus stood before Pilate to be tried, the crowd who had high expectations of Jesus and were disappointed, and the people who took the bribes shouted that Jesus should be crucified, they hesitated to crucify Jesus because of their disappointment. I agreed without it.
While the fleeing disciples and the scattered crowd turned away, Jesus carried a heavy cross and went up the hill to Golgotha, where he was crucified and hung. From nine in the morning until the sun went down in the middle of the day, for six hours, all the blood flowed out of the nails, exhausted, and my whole body convulsed, and I suffered from unbearable pain. The Lord, who could not bear it, said, “I am thirsty.” At about twelve o'clock, when the sun had lost its light and the whole world became like a dark night, he screamed, "Elielli lama sabachthani," why have you forsaken me so much? The cries of Mary the mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, and Salome who witnessed such a scene grew louder and louder. After suffering so much, around 3 pm, “I am finished.” He left the last word and lost his life.
When the Lord Jesus, who came to save mankind in this world, was crucified and died, the whole world became dark. Hope seemed to have disappeared. Those who were oppressed by sin, led by the devil and conquered under death had no hope of where to go and whom to turn for help.
As the sun went down, Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea came and went down the body of Jesus and buried him with great care, but the Jews were not satisfied with the death of Jesus by hanging on the cross. They sent their servants to guard them, and they sent their servants to guard them twice. Then he went back and was toasting and singing a song of victory. The day that followed was Saturday of the Holy Week.
On Saturday, the whole world was dark. Despair reigned.
Because Christ, who is love, was trampled down and defeated by hate, love became useless in this world.
Since the righteous Jesus was defeated by the unrighteous, the righteous life seemed worthless.
Christ, who is the truth, has been trampled underfoot by lies, and the truth seems to be all sorts of fiction and is only a hoax.
Since the Son of God was killed by sinners, this world was not ruled by God, but was like a world where sinners ran their own way.
While Jesus was buried and imprisoned in the tomb, the world was dominated by the powers of despair, bitterness, doubt, sorrow, and death.
There was no one to sing at this time. There was no mood to sing, and there was no reason or reason to sing. There were only sighs, despair, and tears. So Saturday passed.
But the dark day passed, and the very third day that the Son of God was talking about began to brighten. Just as the dawn of Sunday was about to dawn, God raised His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, from the grave, bound by death. He opened the heavy stone door and came out alive in front of the soldiers who were guarding and the Jewish descendants watching.
"God raised the Son, for he could not be bound by death." Hallelujah!! Jesus, who was dead, was raised to life.
Jesus, who seemed to be defeated, was actually victorious.
You have completely come back. Hallelujah!! Hallelujah!!
Christ Jesus, the Lamb of mankind who died for us, rose again for us.
Romans 4:25 “Jesus was delivered for our sins, and was raised for our justification.”
Hallelujah!!
Christ, who is love, overcame hatred and rose again. Thus he revealed that love is the truth, and that no hatred can overcome love.
Christ, who is life, overcame death and rose again. Thus, He freed people who had been slaves to death for generations from the bondage of death.
The same God who raised Jesus will give life to those who belong to Jesus forever.
The righteous Jesus overcame all unrighteous human schemes and fulfilled His plan. Human envy did not block God's plan of salvation.
Thus, it showed that righteousness eventually triumphed.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a sure victory.
The victory of love over hate, the victory of salvation over sin,
The triumph of truth over lies, the triumph of life over death,
It is the victory of God's salvation plan over the unbelief and resistance of sinners.
Now there is hope in the human world, and the truth to believe and follow has been revealed.
The path of hope and the truth of resurrection have been opened to those who have lived as slaves to death.
Now we have a reason to praise. Now we have something to praise.
Now let's sing our salvation to our heart's content. Let us praise our Savior freely.
Now, let's look forward to the resurrection and eternal life, our hope, and sing and rejoice.
We are saved, we have eternal life, we have our Father's house to return to, and we live with the Spirit of the Lord who helps us every day.
At this hour today, let us rejoice in the salvation and eternal life we have received through grace.
And let us sing the victorious King, the Lord of the Resurrection, who saved us by your sacrifice.
From now on and for all eternity, by all means, let us boast and praise to our heart's content.
