Sermons for Preaching

Title: Wilderness

Today, there are many teachers, but it is difficult to find true teachers.

As the son of a priest, John the Baptist was an honest and innocent leader respected by the people of his time.

With many disciples who follow him and follow him

I could have led a peaceful and comfortable life, but I did not.

He showed the people how he was living in the wilderness.

An hour is enough for a leader to preach from the pulpit, but preaching through life requires a lifetime of preaching.

John the Baptist lived and preached, eating food grown in the wilderness.

Impressed by his clean life,

Many Israelites came to him, confessed their sins, and were baptized.

Baptism is a ceremony of determination to cast away all the sins of the past and live as a 'new person'.

That's right. Today, our Christianity has a lot of talk, but it is difficult to see an honest life.

In the Jewish Talmud, there is someone in the world you respect and follow.

There is a lesson to be learned, don't expect to come out, and be that person.

Even if it’s not enough, me and you

I wish to resemble the life of John the Baptist, who is not ashamed to show it to anyone...

The source of spiritual power for the saints is an honest life.

In this way, the disciples of John the Baptist in the early church imitated the spirituality of their master.

Many people went into the desert and lived a religious life alone in the lonely wilderness.

The place where they prayed has developed over the years, and many monasteries have been built today.

When a person is lonely, 'the ear of the spirit' is enlightened.

When I am silent... the Holy Spirit speaks within me.

It is difficult to hear God's voice in a noisy environment.

John the Baptist, the son of a priest, left everything in the world and went into the desert to become a hermit.

He started his life by fulfilling the mission of an evangelist and showing the people his integrity of life.

To challenge the corrupt and indolent faith of their colonial life in Rome.

It was a dedication to the Lord to lead the people of Israel to the right path of salvation.

People who are faithful to the Lord like John the Baptist pray differently.

A person who is born again through the Holy Spirit experience prays for what I will give to the Lord,

The faith of a child who has not yet been born again ponders what to ask of the Lord.

He flattered the Roman government at the time and granted vested interests to his people.

They are rebuking the Pharisees and Sadducees of the intellectual class who exercised them as 'children of vipers.'

In this age, adults are disappearing.

No reproof, no instruction. The rod of love is gone.

Now is the time for us to escape the world and follow the spirituality of John the Baptist.

In the internet and the flood of information, our spirituality is drying up.

Even though we don't enter the desert or wilderness monasteries in black...

Even if it is not possible, I must build a small monastery in my heart and lead a godly religious life.

I hope you go there and hear the voice of the Lord in deep silence and meditation.

Furthermore, let's pray together for the Korean church.

Lord.... The Korean church is outside the world.

It comes like a flood, and inside there is a fight for power, violence and lawlessness.

Financial embezzlement by false shepherds and sexual immorality are rampant in the church.

Where is John the Baptist who cries out "Repent" in this rebellious age...

But as God always did,

He did not forsake his chosen people even in these dark times.

In the world hidden by the Lord like the days of Elijah...

I believe that there will be 'seven thousand John the Baptist' who did not bow their knees, so please give us this grace...!

“But I will leave seven thousand in Israel.

Not every knee has bowed to Baal, and not every kiss has kissed him.” {1 Chronicles 19:18}
