Title: Wings of Immanuel.

Hymn 355 “this body that was called out”? Chapter 364 “I bring you closer to my Lord”
In Isaiah 8, Isaiah prophesied the destruction of Damascus and Samaria, and recorded the convincing evidence of Immanuel.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen! Do you believe in the message of the sermon delivered by the servant of the Lord and apply it in your life? King Ahaz did not believe Jehovah's message to Isaiah. Therefore, to King Ahaz, who did not believe, he wrote ‘Mahel-Shalal Hazbaz’ on a large tablet and set up witnesses Uriah the priest and Zechariah. If you do not understand the will of God who is patient and explains the way, you will be in trouble.
First, the wings of Immanuel are the tents of heaven that are spread out to those who believe (Isaiah 8:1-15).
The prophet Isaiah gave King Ahaz a son, and the son was his mother… Around the time of his father's call, he prophesied that the riches of Damascus and the spoils of Samaria would be plundered by the king of Assyria. And King Ahaz rebuked God's slowly progressing rule and rebuked him for rejoicing in the flood (son of Remaliah) of the Assyrian Empire because it was not enough. Therefore, the prophet Isaiah lamented that he would not receive the favor of Immanuel's wings because of the Assyrian flood power in the entire city of Judah (8). But there is always hope for those who believe. Therefore, even in the flood of allied forces and empires, God said that He would save the believers (10). So Immanuel is the strong hand of the LORD, the holy refuge and the rock (14).
Second, it is a sign of waiting for the wings of Immanuel (Isa 8:16-22).
The word is protection and the law of Emmanuel. Also we see… It is a porter and evidence to keep you waiting for his grace. The prophet Isaiah exhorted the people to keep the word of God, the message of evidence, in their hearts (16). However, many Jews questioned their futures from newcomers and magicians when the country was in turmoil. They did not seek the living God. Therefore, they did not know that the operation was futile and that wherever they went there would be tribulation, darkness, and darkness of pain (22).
Dear saint! Rather than relying on God, the people of Judah and their king Ahaz depended on foreign powers, superstitions, and idols for continued unrest. Even though God showed him ‘Bachel-Shalal Hazbaz’ son of Jash, he did not listen to the words of Isaiah, the angel of the Lord. Therefore, their result was a miserable life environment. Therefore, let us live under the wings of Immanuel by hearing and seeing the messengers of God and the words of God. -Amen-
Our Lord Jesus Christ! I want to spread the grace of justification (Romans 5:8), the benefits of justice (1 Corinthians 10:33), and the example of love (Ephesians 5:1-2).
