Title: Wisdom makes rich / Psalm 112:1-10

Wisdom makes riches/Psalm 112:1-10

(Psalm 112:1-10) Hallelujah, blessed is he who fears the Lord, and greatly delights in his commandments; their descendants are strong on the earth, and blessed are the descendants of the upright; riches and riches are in their houses, their righteousness. To the upright there arises light in darkness. He is kind, merciful, and righteous. He is gracious and lends well, and he will do his work in justice. He is never tossed; the righteous will be remembered forever. He is not afraid of bad news; he has put his trust in the LORD, and his heart is firm. His heart is strong and he will not fear; he will see the retribution of his adversary. He has scattered wealth and given to the needy; his righteousness endures forever; his horns are glorious. The wicked will see this, and they will perish, grinding their teeth, and the desires of the wicked will perish.

From the Old and New Testaments, we can see that Jehovah God is not only the one who saves our souls, but also the one who blesses our lives and businesses. So, the country where the Christian faith entered the country developed economically and experienced many changes and progress in social and culture. First, let's share the Word with this kind of faith and confidence.

The main text is the Word of Wisdom. This is a saying that teaches us that if we have wisdom, we will become rich. This concept of wealth also includes the content of spiritual wealth, faith rich, and spiritual rich. However, above all else, it can be said that it means a wealthy person with a stable economy and a developed industry.

What, then, is the wisdom that brings these blessings?

The last verse of Psalm 111 sings, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. All who keep His commandments have good understanding, and the praise of the Lord endures forever." It is wisdom to fear God and keep the commandments of the Lord. Psalm 112 begins with the song, "Blessed is the man who fears God and greatly delights in his commandments. Their descendants will be strong on the earth, and blessed will be the descendants of the upright." And in verse 3 it says, “Wealth and sacrifice are in the house; their righteousness endures forever.”

Proverbs 9:1, 2, which emphasizes the importance of wisdom to the people of Israel, says, “Wisdom builds her house, she trims the seven pillars, slaughters animals, mixes wine, sets her table, and sends her maid to call from high in the city, saying, said ". This word represents the rich man. Killing animals is a symbol of material abundance. These words teach us that if we live with the wisdom that God gives us, we will live well and be blessed.

If so, let's find out what wisdom is in detail through the text.

First, a life of contentment is a wise life.

It is said that being content with what is given is wisdom. Verse 3 says, “Wealth and riches are in the house; their righteousness endures forever.” Wealth means 'satisfaction' and wealth means 'abundance'. Wise people are those who have the heart to always be content with what God has given them. Therefore, wealth and riches will be in that family. When we use what God has given us, there is nothing lacking. In this way, those who live with satisfaction in everything God has given us live a wise life.

Among Tolstoy's works, there is an article called 'Three Pyeongs of Land', which depicts the vain human greed. A king promised his servants, "Today, I will walk around until the end of the evening and give you all the land that I have treaded." One of them, a greedy servant, came back after treading on a vast area all day without rest. When he returned to where he had started, the last evening bell rang. This minister could now become very rich. Unfortunately, however, this minister came in and collapsed and died the moment he heard the last bell. In the end, the only land this servant got was three pyeong of land where he could lay his dead body.

The wisdom of the Bible tells us, "Live with a grateful heart to God for giving you what you can live your whole life." Living with an attitude of contentment is a wise life, and when we live like this, God blesses us to live richly.

Second, living honestly is a wise life.

"To the upright, light arises out of darkness; he is kind, merciful, and righteous." This is verse 4. Proverbs 15:6 says, “In the house of the righteous there are many treasures, but the income of the wicked is torment.” God gives wealth to the honest.

Just because you have a lot doesn't mean you can live well. It is foolish to think like this. The people of our country were also faced with great economic difficulties like today because they had the wrong idea that if they became rich, they would live well regardless of any means or methods. We must be convinced that honest people will live well. Because God is watching us. Living with honesty is wisdom. Our country must now become a society where honest people prosper. Even though Joseph was his older brother, he was a man who honestly told his father what was wrong when he saw them selling sheep. Then he was later written as a person in charge of all the wealth of a country.

Third, living with good deeds and generosity is a wise life.

"It goes well with the one who lends graciously... He has scattered wealth and given to the needy; his righteousness endures forever, and his horns will be exalted" (verses 5, 9). The horn is the head of the person. Righteousness is eternal, meaning you will receive a reward in the kingdom of heaven.

Wisdom is knowing how to sympathize and love people like this. In order for our nation to restore its blessed state, we must hold onto this word from God. Proverbs 19:17 says, "To have mercy on the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay them for their good. When I use what God has given me for a cause that pleases God, I must be sure that God will repay me.

Fourth, living faithfully without wavering is a wise life.

Verse 8 says, "He will not fear, because his heart is strong, and he will surely see the retribution of his enemies." Even when difficulties come, as long as you have a heart that trusts in God, you will not be shaken. Relying on God and looking at it is also wisdom, and God blesses those who have it. The word 'steady' means 'to endure and maintain'. Even when faced with temptation, if we hold on to God until the end, that person will surely experience victory. That is why he said that in the end he will see the wicked perish. We must unconditionally depend on God and move forward through prayer. In that case, God will solve it. Even in the midst of difficulties, if you depend on God, you will have victory.

There was a man named Elder Kim. He set up a trouser making factory in America. At one time, business was going well and I made a big investment until I got into bank debt. But one day, a recession hit the whole of the United States, and it was said that he was in a difficult situation to get out of. However, it is said that Elder Lee and his wife did their best to pray first every morning with an attitude that only depended on God without being shaken. God blessed this wise elder's family and business. As a result, many other factories suffered from depression, such as having to close their doors, but it is said that the company the Elder runs has continued to develop and grow despite such circumstances. Later, it is said that Elder Lee made a lot of money and did a great job for God. Living like this is the wise life.

Lastly, it is a wise life to focus on the Lord's work.

In Mark 10:29-30, Jesus said, “Whoever has left houses or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for me and for the sake of the gospel, will in no time inherit houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands. He said, "There is no one who will receive a hundredfold, but in the age to come, who will not receive eternal life." It is said that if you work hard in the work of the Lord, you will have eternal life. God blesses us when we come to work with our bodies and time for God even when we encounter difficulties.

We must know, believe, and serve the living God as the living God. Then you change my life. You change the situation I'm in right now. Just as the people who accepted the Gospel came to life, if we act with wisdom, we can become rich and become victors.
