Title: Wisdom praised

▒▒ Bible _ Luke 16:1~3
The Bible verse we read today can be titled “The Parable of the Unjust Steward.” However, this parable of the unrighteous steward is one of the most difficult parables to interpret.
In verse 8, it is said that the master praised the unrighteous steward who forged these official documents, such as the steward healed the man who owed his master 100 pieces of oil with 50 grains of oil, and the man who owed 100 grains of wheat for 80 stones. I did. Christian ethics tells us not to lie and live honestly, but Jesus commends what is unclean, which is a problem. However, the important thing is that when we look at the parables of Jesus, we should focus on the focus of the parables rather than the content. “Imitate the unjust steward who forged documents like this” is not the focus.
For example, in Matthew 10:16, “Be wise as serpents and shrewd as doves.” said. By the way, the serpent in the Bible means Satan. It symbolizes evil. It's not that Jesus didn't know that. But when Jesus said ‘be wise as a serpent,’ he is saying that even though snakes are evil, if snakes have the wisdom that we really need to live uprightly, we must learn from snakes as well. Today's parable also points to such wisdom.
The text we read today is not about praising Jesus for doing a good job of an unrighteous steward. We see our Lord commending the wisdom of the unrighteous steward to the future. In today's difficult text, the wisdom Jesus praised is the wisdom that this steward possesses even though he is an unclean steward.
The first understanding was that when this steward pointed out his mistake during a conversation with the master, the steward honestly admitted his mistake. made no excuses. It is the fact that he acknowledged and accepted his mistake.
King Saul and King David have many things in common, but there is a clear difference. King Saul consistently excused his mistakes and King David honestly admitted his sins. So, in 2 Samuel 12, Nathan said, "You shall not die, because you have confessed your sins." Even though the murderer must die, when he confesses his sin, God says, “You will not die. Forgive me.
Today, we are at a critical juncture as we close 2007 and begin 2008. As we go through life, we sin without knowing it all. The Bible says, “There is none righteous, not even one.” As we close the year 2007, I hope that you will become wise people who, knowingly and unknowingly, surrender their sins before the Lord, repent, be forgiven, receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, and be blessed.
The second wisdom is that the steward knew it was time to leave his place. Everything we have is actually not mine. When God calls you, you have no choice but to leave everything behind. Neither our lives nor our children are mine. Ladies and gentlemen, we need to know that there are times when we leave everything behind. At what age you will have to retire from that job and you want to stay there for a long time, but it is not possible. When the time comes, you have to leave the job. In reality, these are the things we are experiencing and feeling right now. So today this steward also knew clearly that he had to leave his stewardship. That's the wise thing to do. Knowing my time, what must I do before I leave this stewardship? This is the important point of thinking and asking for countermeasures.
Dr. Jung-Jun Kim, who was the dean of Korea Theological University, was sentenced to death for tuberculosis when he was young. Dr. Kim Jeong-jun, who was sentenced to 6 months by the doctor, said, ‘I am going to God in 6 months, so what should I do before I go to God?” After thinking deeply, I covered the patients with blankets at night to prevent a fatal cold for pulmonary tuberculosis patients, and cleaned the sputum bowls that tuberculosis patients spit out and the bowls that no one hates for fear of transferring the pulmonary tuberculosis bacteria.
However, the taste of rice improved as I worked hard with a sense of mission. Even after 6 months had passed, he was still alive, and the rice was delicious, so he ate well, and his flesh grew white. Eventually, he graduated from a nursing home. After that, I studied at Korea Theological University, went to the UK, became an Old Testament scholar, and worked as a professor and dean at Hanshin University. Guys, what do we need to do before December 2007 is over? What do I need to finish this year? I believe you should find it and do it.
Dear brothers and sisters, I know there have been many mistakes in the past 11 months. But the important thing is that during the last part of December, we hope that we will do our part with all our heart and give glory to God. In the name of the Lord, I pray in the name of the Lord that in this last December, you will reap the beauty of seedlings, receive praise from God, and become wise saints who welcome the year 2008.
Dear brothers and sisters, in order to meet the holy Lord, we have to go forward with the faith of “Come, O Lord.” This is the heart of the Bible. Finally, “Come, O Lord.” We believe that this worship is held today to meet Jesus who came to this earth. I believe that you should become wise and wise believers who are praised for doing well when they met the Lord. Those who have spent all their time on this earth and have not stored up for God at all are not in the attitude of a believer waiting to meet Jesus. At least, the attitude of the saints who long to meet Jesus and wait is believe that those who accumulate your good deeds in the storehouse of the kingdom of heaven are wise saints. In the name of the Lord, I bless you, wise saints, that you will become saints who have the wisdom that God praises and act.
