Title: With a burning desire...

Title: Saints who worship with passion

Bible: Genesis 4:3-10

Starting Point of the Word>>

Today, I would like to have a brief talk under the title of “Saints who worship with fervent desire”.

If you look at the members of the church worshiping, you will find many different aspects.

A member who sleeps from exhaustion, a member who is interested in the little things happening around him, a member who goes through the Bible even when it is not time to search for the Word, a member who only looks at the clock until the service is over, a member who sits cross-legged and has an insincere attitude Worshipers, etc...

When I look at the saints who worship in this way, I sometimes envy members of other religions.

For example, if you look at the figure of Buddhists who say that they pray in temples, they are somewhat solemn, and when you only look at them, they offer them in a state of reverence to the extent that they feel beautiful.

In addition, Muslims who know Allah as God and worship Him all kneel down in front of the mosque to pray, and the appearance is seen enough to be called a landscape.

In fact, if we compare these other religions with those of us who believe in God, it raises doubts about the number of believers who worship God with a passion for God.

I want all of our members who worship today to become “saints who worship with fervent desire” toward God.

Whether you are a believer or a non-believer, you should be able to discover the image of a cold worshiper by watching you worship.

In today's text, it is recorded that Cain and Abel brought their produce and the firstborn of their sheep and offered sacrifices to God.

As a result, God accepted Abel's sacrifice and rejected Cain's.

A brother living in the same time zone offered a sacrifice together, and one person's sacrifice was accepted by God, but the other's sacrifice was not.

What we have noticed through this part so far is that he was pleased with Abel's sacrifice.

This naturally led me to think that there was nothing to learn from Cain.

However, I would like to share with you what we should imitate from Cain through the words of today's text.

According to Matthew 10:16,

“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves; therefore be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”

As he spoke, he told us what to learn from the serpent, which was a symbol of the devil.

Also, in Matthew 23:3,

“Therefore, whatever they say, do what they say, and do not imitate what they do, for they speak only and do not do.”

He said that we should learn what we can learn from the Pharisees who rebuked them for being children of vipers.

Today, we will look at what Cain's aspiration was through Cain, and it will be a time for us to make a decision to become a saint who worships God with passion.

Go to Word>>

What we need to learn from Cain who appears in the text is the desire to worship God that Cain had.

Today we look at Cain's worship service.

If we look at verse 3 of the text,

“After the years passed, Cain sacrificed the produce of the earth to the Lord.”

Says.

A few days ago, on a Far East Broadcasting program, a pastor spoke about Cain's sacrifice, and we know that God did not accept Cain's sacrifice because there was no 'blood', but in fact, he spoke a slightly different view.

In other words, if you look at the sacrificial methods in Leviticus, there is also a method of offering vegetables and grains to God, so there is no problem with Cain's offering.

It is not important to me what kind of sacrifice I made today, but that there are sacrifices that God accepts, and there are sacrifices that God does not accept.

In any case, God did not accept Cain's sacrifice.

However, there is something we need to keep an eye on here.

If we look at verse 5,

“Because Cain and his offering were not accepted, Cain was very angry and his countenance changed.”

record.

Cain said that he was very angry because God did not accept him even though he had offered sacrifices or worship to God in his own way.

And if we look at the words of verse 8,

“Cain spoke to his brother Abel, and while they were in the field, Cain struck down his brother Abel and killed him.”

I did.

Not only was Cain angry that God did not accept the sacrifice, but he even killed his brother Abel.

Many people curse when they see Cain's actions.

Or maybe you and I are standing as one person who curses Cain right now.

But we have something to learn from him.

It is his desire to receive attention for the sacrifice.

Although his deeds ended in an evil one, his deeds were based on a desire to get God's attention in any way.

If Cain had been a wiser man, he would have known where God's will was, and would not have committed the foolish sin of killing people.

As we read in Matthew 23:3

“Therefore, whatever they say, do what they say, and do not imitate what they do, for they speak only and do not do.”

We must imitate Cain's desire for God, but we must become saints who do not imitate his sins.

At the end of the speech>>

Organize your words.

How long do we live our lives eagerly for the Lord to acknowledge and receive our worship, offerings, devotion, prayers, and praises?

Cain longed so earnestly and passionately that he was jealous of Abel and murdered, and longed for God's love.

In the end, Cain showed his longing and longing for God through the wrong method of murder, but in the name of the Lord, I ask that all the saints aspire to receive God's pleasure from our worship with such a heart.
