Title: With Eyes of Faith
Title: With the Eyes of Faith (2 Kings 6:14-19)
In Seoul, Onnuri Church, Houston Baptist Church in the United States, golf player Kyung-ju Choi, starts the day with his wife Kim every morning in prayer. Although he is a recognized world-class golfer, he always kneels before the Lord and longs for God's grace.
The two have a vision of establishing a church in North Korea in the future. My hope is to go to North Korea someday to preach the gospel and teach golf. They open their eyes of faith during prayer and resolve to spread the gospel to North Korea.
We also hope that the precious work of opening our eyes of faith will come through the text of this time.
The content of this text is that when the Syrians secretly plan a war, the Israeli soldiers know it before they know it, and the king of Syria, who is waiting on the road and is often defeated in battle, called his servants and said, “Who among us does not tell me that we have affair with the king of Israel?” 12 One of his servants said, "No, our lord the king, but Elisha the prophet of Israel is telling the king of Israel what you said in your bedroom."
13 The king said, "Go and see where Elisha is. I will send and arrest him." He said to the king, "Behold, he is in Dothan."
The prophet Elisha, who said that the king of Syria knows the information of Syria even in his bedroom, and delivers it to the king of Israel, says he is in Dothan when he says he will be arrested?
14 “Then the king sent horses and chariots and a large army, and they went by night and besieged the city.
It's a crisis when we think about it. The Syrian army built up a city to capture Elisha. How big is the crisis?
We often face crises. However, there are many times when a crisis is an opportunity for us.
Our life ends when we tell God that it is the end, not because people abandon us. Even if he fails, if he has the faith to pray and the conscience to follow God, he can surely stand up again. Therefore, when you are going through hardship, you must be courageous, even though it is lonely and painful. We need to build more faith. Some fires are extinguished when the wind blows, but there are fires that burn even brighter.
In this situation, Elisha prays. 15 The servant of the man of God got up early and went out and found soldiers, horses, and chariots besieging the city. His servant said to Elisha, “Alas, my lord, what shall we do?” 16 And he answered, “Do not be afraid, those who are with us are those who are with them. say more
17 And he prayed and said, "O LORD, please open his eyes so that he may see." The LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw that the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
When he opened his servant's eyes to see, he saw that the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire. Ultimately, the problem is that the eyes of faith are opened.
We too must have our eyes of faith open. The eyes of faith that can see God must be opened.
To open these eyes of faith, we must pray. We must pray for the eyes of faith to be opened. Our Lord is not without power.
Matthew 26:51 “When Jesus was arrested, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew the sword and struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear. Do you know that you can't make it sour?
The Lord fed 5,000 people with five bottles, and there were 12 glasses left, and with seven bowls, the Lord fed 4,000 people and left 7 glasses. The Lord is not impossible.
If you pray, you will see the heavenly kingdom of heaven when your eyes of faith are girdles. You will see horses and chariots of fire. When Elisha prayed, the servant's eyes opened and he could see that the soldiers in heaven were building up Elisha.
We hope that through prayer, the eyes of faith will be opened, so that we can see the kingdom of heaven and see the power of the Lord.
18 And when the Arameans came down to Elisha, Elisha prayed to the LORD, saying, Please, blind the crowds." So he blinded them as Elisha had said. 19 Elisha said to them, "This is not the way, nor the city." Come, follow me, and I will bring you to the man you are looking for.” He said and led them to Sararia. Hallelujah!
Is Elisha praying? When the Aramaean armies are blinded, they are led and led before the armies encamped in Samaria. Let us open our eyes of faith. Even in any crisis, if you open your eyes of faith, you will see a heavenly army of angels. I see the power of the Lord. In the fight against the devil, Jesus died on the cross, destroyed the enemy devil, Satan, and rose again on the third day, so we sang the victory song.
Therefore, our fight is a battle of victory. Do not be afraid of the fire horses and chariots of this earth, pray, open your eyes of faith, see the fire horses and fire horses in heaven, and I hope that the precious work of victory will come.
