2009.6.15. Sunday afternoon Acts 3:11-26 <Testify for Jesus>
------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------
All scriptures testify of Jesus. From Genesis to Revelation, everything testifies of Jesus. The meaning of the name of Jesus is to save the sins of our people. It testifies that it was not his own power or godliness that Peter healed the lame man, but faith in the name of Jesus that healed the sick man. We live on this earth to testify of Jesus. Jesus name! is his witness
They testify of Jesus in the morning and in the afternoon. Then, how is Jesus testifying from the days of Samuel?
It is symbolized by the 'star' and 'scepter' (Numbers 24:17), and it is prophesied that the great man will be born in the family of David until the time of Samuel.
2 Samuel 7:16 Your house and your kingdom will stand before me forever, and your throne will be established forever.
1) The anointed of God, the eternal King and the Son of God

Psalm 2:6 I have set my king on Zion, my holy mountain.
Psalm 2:8 Ask me, and I will give the nations as an inheritance, and your possessions shall extend to the ends of the earth.
Psalm 2:12 Kiss his son, or his wrath will cause you to perish on the way, for his wrath is swift; blessed are all who trust in the LORD.
2) This person is a 'bud' (Isaiah 4:2-6), born in the family of David.
Isaiah 4:2 In that day the shoot of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the produce of the land will be glorious and beautiful for the refugees of Israel.
Isaiah 4:3 Those who remain in Zion, those who remain in Jerusalem, all who are written among those who live in Jerusalem will be called holy.
Isaiah 4:4 For the hour is for the Lord to wash away the defilement of the daughters of Zion, and to purify the blood of Jerusalem from them, with his judgmental and consuming spirit.
Isaiah 4:5 The LORD will make clouds and smoke by day, and a flame of fire by night, over all Mount Zion, where he dwells, and over all his assemblies, and he will make a tent over all his glory.
Isaiah 4:6 And there will be tents, to provide shade by day from the heat, and to hide from the wind and rain.
3) It will come as a 'baby' (Isaiah 7:13, 14) through the body of a 'virgin',
4) He is a 'king' (Ezekiel 34:24; 37:24, 25),
5) He will come as a 'priest' (Zechariah 6:13) and as a 'prophet' like Moses (Deuteronomy 18:15),
6) Born in Bethlehem (Mic 5:2-5),
7) He will enter Jerusalem as king on a 'donkey' (Zechariah 9:9, 10),
8) 'Silver will be sold for 30' (Zechariah 11:12, 13),
9) You will become a 'shepherd' who is beaten (Zechariah 13:7),

Peter is saying that all these prophecies of the prophets testify of Jesus Christ. Both the law and the prophecies testify of Jesus Christ.
(Luke 18:31; 24:27 John 1:45; 5:39).
