Remember me (1 Corinthians 11:23-29)
It means that it was ordained by the Lord. The sacrament is not instituted by any person or denomination, but is a ceremony instituted by the Lord Himself. Why, then, was the sacrament instituted? It is to commemorate the Lord without forgetting it. The Eucharist is a ceremony to receive divine grace while remembrance of the Lord. This morning, before the communion service, I would like to share the grace with you under the title of “Remember Me”.
I. lord who died for me
The first sacrament was celebrated with the disciples the night before Jesus was crucified. The Lord did this while looking at the cross that He would bear and the death of this cross. The bread symbolizes the body of the Lord who will be broken and torn on the cross. Also, the wine symbolizes the blood of the covenant that will be shed for many people for the forgiveness of sins, the blood of the Lord shed on the cross.
Dear all! The sacrament is a remembrance of this Lord. It is to think deeply about the Lord who was torn and bled for me on the cross. “He was pierced for our transgressions, and he was bruised for our iniquities” (Isaiah 53:5). He died on the cross to save me. I bless you with abundant grace to commemorate this Lord and think more deeply about this Lord through the sacrament today. So, I pray that you will be filled with the assurance of forgiveness and the joy and emotion of the forgiveness of all sins.
Ⅱ. The Lord Who Will Come Again
The Second Coming of Jesus Christ! This is our greatest hope. When Jesus Christ returns, all the sins of the world will be judged. All mankind's problems will be solved. You will be set free from all sins and misery, and all things will be made new. The body of the saints will be redeemed and put on a new body. If we live and receive the Lord, our bodies will be changed. The body of the saints who have already died will be resurrected. Everyone who is transformed or resurrected becomes a spiritual body like the body of the resurrected Christ. This is the completion of salvation.
We believe in Jesus Christ and are already saved. However, there are still hardships and tragedies in this land. Sin is tempting us, and there are financial difficulties and suffering from diseases. There is also the pain of the loss of a loved one. However, when Jesus Christ returns, we will be completely set free from this suffering and tragedy.
Everyone! This is life. If this is life, how futile is it? But we do have hope. There is hope for the second coming of Jesus Christ. There is hope of resurrection. Resurrection with a body that does not get sick, does not grow old, and does not die! We have this hope. Dear all! I pray that all of us who are participating in the sacrament meeting today will be filled with this hope for the Second Coming.
Ⅲ. Lord with me today
The Lord is with us today
First, he protects us. How rough is this world? However, the Lord who is with you will keep you from falling into temptation and will keep you from falling into sin. He protects us from all dangers. I would like to thank the Lord for being with us today, protecting us, and protecting us.
Second, he guides us. This world is like a wilderness. The God who led the Israelites through the pillar of cloud and fire is leading us in this world like the wilderness today. He will lead you to the safest path and the blessed path. He will guide you until you go to heaven.
Third, He makes us victorious. When the Israelites encountered a terrible enemy in the wilderness, God was with them and gave them victory. Join us today so we can become victorious Christians.
Fourth, He provides all our needs. The Israelites did not farm in the wilderness for 40 years. But he did not go hungry for a single meal. God, who is with us, gave manna and ate it. The Lord said. “Look at the birds of the air, they neither sow nor reap nor gather in barns, but your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not more valuable than these? Therefore do not worry.” But the children of God are fed by God. If we fulfill our duty as a child of God, we believe that God will take care of our food, clothing, and financial problems.
