Title: Words of Life/2 Timothy 3:15~17
Contents The Word of Life/2 Timothy 3:15~17
“And from your youth you have known the Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:15-17).
Autumn is said to be the season of reading. We should read various liberal arts books, but reading the Bible, the word of God, will change our lives. If we collect and analyze the experiences of believers who read the Bible regularly or studied systematically, in a word, their lives were changed by the words of the Bible. “Remember your Creator in your youth” (Ecclesiasts 12:1). It means to always read and meditate on the Bible while you are young.
Reading the Bible not only changes your life, it also changes the way you see the world. Those who have struggled in their religious life read the Bible and receive grace and have strong faith. If you read the Bible and have faith, you will also receive eternal life. Therefore, the saints must not neglect the Word that gives eternal life. Just as we eat bread to live our body, we must eat the Word of God to live our soul.
So, how should we read the Bible? The most important thing is to go 'into the Bible'. When reading the Bible, you should not read the Bible simply out of curiosity. We must go into the time and place where the Bible was written and meet the people of that time. Only then will an encounter with the true Bible be achieved. You must go into the Bible, but bring 'everything'. You must bring all of life's problems and wishes with you. Only then can I find a solution by illuminating the problems intertwined in my life with the Word.
In silence, unobstructed by no one, there must be a dialogue between me and the characters in the Bible, and between me and God. Only then can you fully meet the Lord in the depths of your soul and change your life. At that time, the negative self will be transformed into a positive self. When you change your mind, your thoughts change and your words change. Your plans will change, your actions will change, and your life will become a reality.
God has given these precious words to you and me. I pray that God's word will prosper and flourish in this age by always obeying these words.
