Title: Words of Wisdom / Proverbs 22:17-21
Proverbs 22:17-24:34 are the records of the <Proverbs of the wise>.
Among them, the text corresponds to the introduction and teaches us how precious and precious the Word of God is.
Through the lessons from the text, we will examine our attitude toward the wise word.
##### 1. The Word is the fact that God gave it
Verses 19-21: I have made this known to you especially today, so that you may trust in the Lord, that I will write down counsel and the beauty of knowledge, that you may understand the sure word of truth, and that those who send you will speak the word of truth. Isn't that what you're trying to answer ...>
--What did God give us?
1) To make them trust in God.
2) In order to realize the truth.
3) In order to live in the truth.
##### 2. We must listen to God's Word and keep it in our hearts
Verse 17: “Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise, and set your heart on my knowledge.”
1) We must listen carefully to the word of God.
You have to listen carefully. We must listen carefully with all our beautiful sincerity. We must gather our sincerity so that our listening attitude can be pleasing to God.
-- Those who yawn while listening to the Word... Those who sleep...
Cross-arms and cross-legged listeners...
A person who talks differently from others... It's not about listening.
2) We must always keep the words we hear in our hearts.
He who hears and turns back and forgets...
A person whose words and actions are different.
So, in verse 18 of the text, it says, “It is beautiful to keep this in you and to have it on your lips.”
-- We must live in the truth and in the Word. If the Word and our lives are different, it is a sin and we cannot reveal the glory of God.
-- Mr. Kim Chul-han, president of Saemaul Audio-Visual Mission...
Originally, this person was a land broker who bought and sold all the land in Korea.
However, it was found out and he was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Then he came to believe in Jesus in prison.
Fasting and praying all night <There are other sins that the prosecutor does not know, confess them all. That is the will of God.> I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit.
And write down all the sins that come to mind. At that time, the criminals next to me said, “Are you crazy? If you run out, you may be sentenced to life in prison.>
However, he wrote it all down and confessed to the prosecutor, and in reality he was sentenced to three years in prison.
According to the Word, we must live in the Word.
I pray in the name of the Lord that we will live a faithful and upright life pleasing to God while always keeping the word of God in our hearts.
