Title [6.7] Words that save and kill people

Words that save people and words that kill them

(Matthew 12:33-37)

Words reveal not only the function of communication, but also character, and because of the influence possessed by the words themselves, they are responsible for the results, and they have vitality, leaving them hope or despair. So, what does the Bible remind us about words?

First, the Bible says first that words come from the heart (verse 34).

Jesus points out the evil and unbelieving inside of the Pharisees that are piled up behind the good words and words for God, and he says they are children of vipers. The Lord is telling us to change our hearts. Words are related to experience, but rather than to the mind, it is a matter of the essence and existence of a person, so words come out depending on who I am. I hope that the words that accumulate in our hearts and come out of our lips will become the language of the Lord, the language that saves lives, and the language that builds up our personality beautifully before God.

Second, the Bible says that Korean has the authority to save or kill people (verse 36).

When we speak, we can use it as a power to inspire and awaken our dormant powers with our creative powers and strength, but it can also be used as a language to devastate or discourage us, and to stifle new hopes and spirits.

There are those who are good at 'talking' and those who speak 'good'. Being able to 'talk' well is determined by the shape of the mouth, and speaking 'good' is determined by a person's personality. In words, facts matter, and then the truth matters more, but more important than the truth are the consequences of the words. It should be a word that listens to what I say and makes the results produce good results. I want you to be a person who speaks 'good', not someone who is good at 'talking'.

Third, God promises to hold us spiritually responsible for our words (verse 37).

“You will be justified by your words, and you will be condemned by your words” means that He will repay us as we live our lives according to the words we used. Therefore, you should be careful about what you usually say. As we admit, God promises to make it happen in our lives. Faith is speaking based on the belief that the Lord who is with me is the master of my life, making decisions based on that belief, and living according to my beliefs. To those who have faith and declare that I can do all things through him who strengthens me, God promises to do it.

Our language will change when we realize that our words have the power to kill or save people and when we realize that our words are judged before God. I pray in the name of the Lord that my life and you will become a witness and expression of the language of faith, the language of life, and the language of saving others.
