Title: Worker Jesus / Mark 6:3
Content: The office worker Jesus / Mark 6:3
3 Is not this the carpenter, son of Mary, the brother of James and Joseph, and Judas and Simon? Are not his sisters here with us?" And they rejected Jesus.
-----------------------
When we want to know about a person, we first ask about the person's occupation. Of course, knowing the job doesn't mean you know everyone, / but knowing what that person is in/ can tell you a lot about that person.
For example, if you say/ you can roughly know the cycle of my life/ and know what I usually think about. Shall I go on a trip on the weekend? Would you consider selling something to the church members?
------------------------------------------------
However, when talking about and introducing their job/ There are some people who say their job with pride and others who don't.
I don't go to the hairdresser often. Once you shave, it doesn't look like you've shaved. I feel clean when I shave with a razor sharpened on the leather. Also, if you cut your hair with barikang, it seems to be less delicate than scissors.
One time I went to get a haircut/ and the barber talked very badly about the hairdresser. And while asking, it is to spread . In his own way, he had great philosophy and pride in his profession.
And at the end we talked about politics, and he said some really cool things. that is.
-----------
I was very moved by that statement. Can you talk like that barber? Can you say that? When I heard the prediction, I was terrified. I'm a pastor, but it's hard to say that. But this barber is talking about it without hesitation.
He had a clear sense of duty and pride in what he was doing. On the other hand, there are those who say These two people's thoughts are different in their profession, but in the end they are different. What kind of attitude you study and what kind of attitude you have in your work life is what you are.
By knowing this person's occupation and his thoughts on his/her profession, you can know a lot about that person.
----------------------------------
Likewise, knowing Jesus/ what He has done on earth/ helps us to know who He is. The Bible describes Jesus as three occupations. I think that if we know about Jesus' work/ we will see and believe in Jesus from a new perspective.
----------------------------
1) Jesus worked as a carpenter.
Jesus, the Son of God, was born on this earth as the son of a carpenter. Jesus could have been born as the son of a king or a priest, or as the son of a beggar or homeless man. But why was he born as a carpenter's son? ~The reason is probably because / being born into such an average family / is not the best place to understand both the rich and the poor.
Thus, Jesus was born as a carpenter's son/ inherited his father's job and worked as a carpenter until the age of 30. And presumably, my father Joseph appeared when he was young and hasn't appeared since then, so I think he died early. Many biblical scholars think so. Also, if you look at today's text, you can see the family situation. If Jesus was the eldest son, 4 brothers, sisters (at least 2-3) and mother were included, we can see that Jesus' family consisted of at least 7-8 members. And we can see that Jesus was the head of the family who lost his father early and fed 7-8 people.
In this situation, what attitude do you think Jesus would have had while working as a carpenter? Of course, the purpose of Jesus coming to this earth/ was not to be a carpenter. But he wouldn't have been grumbling or sloppy working as a carpenter. When Jesus made a door, he must have done his best to make it faithfully. And Jesus would have been recognized as a carpenter in that area.
A few years ago, I saw a black-and-white silent movie called Jongno Seoul Theater. It was screened briefly for about a week and then finished. Jesus healed many sick people, so the children brought a wooden doll with a broken leg to it. At that time, Jesus showed his carpentry skills and showed him how to fix it neatly. Jesus was a man who was faithful and recognized for his abilities even in small things.
-----------
When we work at work, there will be times when we feel embarrassed, and there will be times when we feel that we are struggling with things that others do not recognize. And in the case of students, there may be times when you think that
It is said that 71% of new hires at large corporations have thought of changing jobs before, and they are willing to change jobs if better conditions are given. Because I got into the job through a 100:1 competition. That's what I do every day. And even when it's time for work, there's nothing to do/ I have to wait until my superiors leave work.
So that's what you think.
Whenever we, Christians, have those thoughts, I want you to think of the Son of God coming to this earth / and doing carpentry work that seems to have nothing to do with his original purpose. I hope that you will receive great comfort and strength as you think of how our Jesus faithfully performed the carpenter's work.
----------------
The Puritan leader said: Any job is inseparable from the work of God.
I hope that you will be faithful to what you are doing, thinking about Jesus doing the carpentry work like this.

2) Jesus worked as a shepherd.
Although Jesus worked as a carpenter on this earth, these days, if you look at the pictures introducing Jesus, he is mainly portrayed as a shepherd raising sheep. In fact, Jesus never worked as a shepherd on this earth/ but in John 10, he called himself. When Jesus called himself the Good Shepherd, he was referring to the role he played on this earth.
The shepherd leads the sheep to green pastures and clear streams. The sheep know and follow the shepherd. Likewise, Jesus knows us and we know Jesus. And those who follow him can find true peace. However, the sheep who do not follow the shepherd face a crisis as they try to go their own way. At that time, Jesus lays down his life for his sheep as a shepherd lays down his life for his sheep. It is that this shepherd?셲 appearance/ is similar to that of Jesus.
Gentlemen, no matter how much we try to live right, / our life is not going as well as we want it to. We often find ourselves in trouble because we do not find the right way, just like sheep wandering along the way.
But Jesus not only leads people on the right path, / he laid down his life for them. All the leaders of the world teach people the truth. But Jesus became the truth itself by laying down his life. Therefore, we can entrust our lives to Jesus, the shepherd, and Jesus becomes a shepherd we can trust and follow. ?쒲 am the way, the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)
Therefore, when we feel that everything is not going well in our lives in the world, when we feel that our future and career are bleak, if we believe and follow Jesus the Shepherd, the way will be seen, the truth will be seen, and the way of life will be opened. Just as a sheep seeks its shepherd, when we cry out to the Lord, the Lord guides and takes charge of our lives, so there is nothing to worry about in our lives. I hope you believe this. I hope you will make Jesus the Good Shepherd in your life.
-----------------------
3) Jesus is now working as a lawyer.
Nowadays, lawyers are a profession to make money/ but in the past, there were many people who wanted to become lawyers to help the weak. A lawyer's profession is to fight for criminals in court.
When you commit a crime, you seek a lawyer to alleviate the crime. However, in our reality, attorneys' fees are not high. However, no matter how competent a lawyer is, he will not acquit you of a crime committed. The world's lawyers are limited in many ways.
But Jesus, as a lawyer before God, completely solves our sins. Of course, it's free. So say it.
--------------
Large corporations and celebrities have advisors. That's why I get advice when a court problem arises. But most ordinary office workers cannot. But Jesus clearly teaches us that he is the counsel of our saints.
Therefore, when we have the problem of sin and the burden of life, we can go to Jesus, the lawyer, and get it resolved. On various problems in life/ Jesus advises us like a lawyer. How reassuring is this?
I hope that you entrust all your sins and all the burdens of your life to Jesus, the lawyer.

??Conclusion of the Word
Jesus said there were three jobs.
1) Jesus was a carpenter.
In a way, Jesus did the work of a shepherd that had nothing to do with the original purpose of coming to this earth, but he did his best and faithfully worked. With that fact in mind, let us be faithful in the work entrusted to us, thinking of Jesus even when the work we are doing now is not our aptitude, and even when our picky boss makes us do things that we do not like.
2) Jesus was the shepherd.
A shepherd leads his sheep on the right path and lays down his life for them. Jesus is our good shepherd. With that fact in mind, let's entrust our lives completely to Jesus, believe and follow Him. That way is the way to happiness, the way we live. that's the best way
3) Jesus is a lawyer.
Jesus is still ready to defend us, advise us, and help us. With that fact in mind, let's put all our worries and burdens on Jesus.
