Title: Workers (Ephesians 3:7-9)
But what do we think so far? I think I need to be zealous. Then you think that God is writing you. God is leading me to such a place. It is not my zeal, hope, and wish, but God's zeal and power. In that sense, the worker is the work of God. You must know that the true power of a worker is not in his cleverness, or his talent, or hard work, but in the gospel itself. We have to admit that we are here today and that what we have been assigned to do is the work of God Himself. So God saved us. Our salvation is not for ourselves. It's that God didn't call me to do well and be happy in this world. So what does Paul say in verse 8? It is said that this grace was given to those who were less than the least of all the saints. How does Paul express himself? They are said to be smaller than the least.
A worker does not mean a person who does some work in the church and shouts out loud. It is not about enjoying privileges and authority with one's office. A worker is not one who exists for himself, but one who exists for others. Paul was established for the Gentiles. We too are called workers to share the riches of Christ with others. This is the meaning of our existence whether we have an office or not. Then, how should we live on this earth as workers? How rich is your faith in Jesus? He exists as a person who lives a life that shows how wonderful it is to know and live Jesus of Nazareth. In verse 9, I want to reveal what kind of secret dispensation has been hidden in God who created all things from eternity. This is our existence.
But does it make sense if we live in the world to make a profit through the name of Jesus? If the economy is difficult, because I lost my job, and because my business is ruined, if I live like a portrait house and live in tears because of it, what can I show the rest of the world by seeing the secret economy through us? Or, if you are envious of their wealth and leisure and are arguing that I will live on the same level as them, what will you show them? We are all workers. It doesn't matter if you have a job or not. We are called to be workers. Then you should be happy with it by itself. No matter how many things people in this world bring with trucks, those who live with the promise that they will not change this gospel that I have even if they die is the true form of a believer who has become a servant. I pray that the blood of the cross shed for you will not be in vain.
