Title: Worried Parents

content n style=line-height:160%>

There are wilted parents and there are lush parents. There are proud parents, and there are desperate parents. There are graceful parents, while there are humble parents. There are parents who laugh out loud, and there are parents who lose their laughter.

Parents who want to enter even a mouse hole because they are shy when they talk about their children, and parents who wither even if they have children, are because their children are rotten. Who are the children who give their parents troubles?

“When Esau was forty years old, he married Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Basmath the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and they grieved the hearts of Isaac and Rebekah” (Genesis 26:34-35).

First, children are disobedient to their parents by giving them anxiety. Even today we have children like Esau. Esau, who only went out because he liked hunting, was a concern for his parents. Parents these days have a lot of worries because their children should spend a lot of time at home, but they only go out. Children who give trouble to their parents are disloyal. We must honor and serve our parents. As a child, you shouldn't be a troubled child. If something is holding you back now, stop this time. We must not be children like Esau.

Second, children who try to honor their parents with the things of the flesh give trouble to their parents and become invalid. “Isaac loved Esau because he loved the game, and Rebekah loved Jacob” (Genesis 25:28).

We must honor the Lord. This means that, above all, Mother's Day gifts are good, but we must take this opportunity to spread the good news of salvation. You have to believe that this is the best gift. Esau kept giving only physical gifts. However, we need to be more careful about spiritual gifts. We should use this opportunity to spread the gospel.

"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother. This is the first commandment with a promise, that it may go well with you and you may live long on the earth" (Ephesians 6:1-3)

Third, weary children give their parents trouble and become ineffective. “Jacob had eaten porridge, and Esau returned from the field and was very weary, and said to Jacob, “I am weary; let me eat the red thing.” So Esau’s nickname was Edom” (Genesis 25:29-30). ‘Empty’ means that the body is always weak and in poor condition. It refers to the state of being tired and tired. It is important to live hard for one's work, but filial piety is to have a healthy body. Esau was always a weary child. Because I only went out and hunted all the time, I had no choice but to be tired. Healthy and strong children are filial to their parents.

Fourth, neglectful children cause their parents to worry and become invalid. “Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil soup, and Esau ate and drank, and got up and went, because Esau had despised his birthright.” (Genesis 25:34) What was the birthright? (2 Chronicles 21:3) Even when he inherited property, he received twice as much wealth as other brothers (Deuteronomy 21:15-17) The eldest son is responsible for supporting his parents and family (Deut 15:19- 23).

But Esau disregarded this birthright. Christians have the cause of being the 'firstborn' in this age. Neglecting one's position as a child also worries parents. Children have their place. A student studying has a position as a student, and a member of society is given that position as an office worker. Ignoring the child's position also worries parents. Esau, who was the eldest son, was a careless child and became a cause for concern to his parents and eventually became illegitimate.

I sincerely hope that it will be a day to deeply consider the hearts of parents.
