Content Title: Worship and Praise
Scripture: Psalm 33:1-22 Hymns; Chapters 33 and 49
This psalm has an unknown author, and is a hymn of praise and praise to the God who created and reigns over the universe.
This poem invites us to praise God with a sophisticated and beautiful sound, and sings about the joy of being saved by God's help.
When praising God, what kind of heart should we praise?
1. We must praise the righteous and the upright (1).
“The righteous” refers to those who are blameless before God. However, is it actually absolutely flawless grown up? not on this earth
(Romans 3:10) “As it is written, There is none righteous, not even one” (Romans 3:23) “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Therefore, the only way to solve the problem of human sin and become righteous is through Christ.
Because Christ gave us the grace of atonement, we dared to enter the class of the righteous.
(Isa 53:3) “He was despised and rejected by men; he was afflicted, acquainted with suffering, as one who hides his face from men and is despised, and we do not esteem him.”
When we hold on to the grace of Christ's atonement and go before God to praise Him, God receives the praise of His lips completely. So it will be the praise of the righteous.
And, those who live the life of an honest person who fully enjoys the grace of that life can give the right praise.
(Romans 12:1-2) “Therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
His lips and heart are full of peculiarities, and his life is full of sins and faults.
However, this world is too difficult and difficult to live as a holy living sacrifice on our own! So, we can't do it on our own.
Only by the grace of the Lord.
“Come to me, take my yoke upon you, and learn from me! My yoke is easy and light.” By fully enjoying the blessings of salvation through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the filling of the Holy Spirit, you can enter the perfect place of praise.
2. It should be praised with a clever instrument (2).
He said that he would give praise with harps and lyres.
You must have the center of giving praise to God with the best performances and instruments.
The Lord is pleased with the center of giving the best to Him.
3. Praise the new song skillfully (3)
The Lord is pleased with the prepared praise, not the unprepared praise.
What is a new song? It's not about talking about new content, it's about giving with a new mindset.
To do it skillfully means to sing with practice and devotion.
4. We must understand and praise God's disposition and His works (4-22)
We praise God, but we do not praise vague objects.
It is undesirable to praise God and simply praise Him habitually without paying attention to the facts of who He is, what relationship he has with me, and what he is accomplishing.
If you just praise it like that, it cannot be a proper praise.
Therefore, we must learn from God.
Christ should be studied.
You must understand it through the Word.
Therefore, we must know what God's holy character is (4-5).
And what abilities do you have? You must know, believe, and praise (6-9).
And what has been accomplished in this history with such great power? (10-19) should be understood and praised.
When we praise in this way, we can glorify God with right faith. Therefore, in order to praise and glorify God, we must be awake, meditate on the Word, and have deep fellowship.
Therefore, the Word movement is essential for proper praise. Therefore, the choir or the leader of the praise should be clearer in the Word.
(Hos 6:1-3) “Come, let us return to the LORD, for the LORD has torn us, and he will heal us; he has struck us, but he will bind us up. Two days later the LORD will raise us up, and on the third day he will raise us up. and we will live before him. Therefore let us know the Lord, let us strive to know the Lord. His coming out is as steady as the morning light, and he will come upon us like rain, like the latter rain that waters the earth.”
(Isaiah 42:10) “Sing a new song to the LORD, you sailors, and all things in the sea, and the islands and their inhabitants, sing praises from the ends of the earth.”
