Title: Worship with a Dream / Hebrews 11:4
Content Worship with Dream / Hebrews 11:4
There are those who view worship as a sleepy and boring ritual. Why is worship so sleepy? Because there is no dream. Today's text says, "By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, and he received evidence that he was righteous." The expression ‘dream’ comes out of a better sacrifice. ‘Dream’ is the core of worship. Dream can be interpreted in two ways. One is the English dream. It's a dream. Another is offering to God. In other words, worship with dreams means worship with dreams and devotion.
We must dream of being healed of problems in our life through God's grace through worship. Through worship, we must dream of healing the problems we have been concerned about, the blocked relationships, and the discord between our families. We must dream that the church is healed and revived. We must also dream of healing the body through worship. Because the word of God is living and active, it pierces even to the division of soul and spirit, joints and marrow (Hebrews 4:12). We must dream of worship in which the Word of God comes alive, so that the soul as well as the body experience healing.
In addition, worship with the dream of devotion must be held. Worship is not the same. There are worship that God accepts and worship that God does not receive. God accepts worship with devotion. First, you must have a heart of dedication. The devotion of the heart refers to the passion for worship that is pleasing to God. There must also be a commitment of the body.
Livingston, an African explorer and missionary, attended a meeting as a child. There was a time to donate for African souls, but he himself went up on the donation basket, because he had no material. Livingston dedicated himself to becoming a man dedicated to missionary work in Africa. And there must be material commitment. God values the material that we do our best with a willing heart. I hope that your family will become a Dream Land where you can worship with dreams and devotion.
