Title: Worshipers
Text: John 4:20-26
What is worship? Worship is when people who are loved by God come to God by loving God. Worship is about meeting and looking at God and giving glory and thanks to God. It is to express gratitude for God's grace and guidance in saving God's people with a heart of love. It is to come to God, get down on your knees, and love and fear Him with all your heart, mind, and soul.
The most important thing we have to do while we are alive is to absolutely love the Lord who loved us and gave his life for us and leads us in the good way every day. That is worship. So nothing is more important to us than worship, and nothing is busier than worship. God is worthy to be valued more than any other person and to be loved by us.
In the text, the Lord told us how to worship. “The hour is coming, and now is, when those who truly worship the Father will worship in spirit and truth; God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
How should we worship God?
There are two things that matter most when we worship God.
First, we worship in the spirit.
The Lord said that true worship is worship in the spirit. This teaches us to exclude non-spiritual elements from worship. We live for a week, commit sins and come before God. Worshiping about sin is worshiping in a state of being blocked from God. This kind of worship is dead worship and non-spiritual worship. Although I am not qualified to worship on my own, because the Lord died on the cross for my sins, with His blood, we can be forgiven and worship God. Therefore, the worshiper must not appear anything except the cross. Only the glory of God must be revealed. When is this possible? It's time to believe in Jesus and make sincere repentance. When you repent and give thanks to God with a forgiven heart, you will experience God's grace deeply. With a heart forgiven by the price of the blood of the Lord, this body belongs to God. When you say “Receive this body,” God accepts the worship with pleasure.
The second is to worship in truth.
The Lord said that worshiping in truth is worshiping in truth. To do this, we must focus our whole heart on worship and listen to the Word of God. We can't be truthful. Only the Word of God is true and only the Lord is true. When we hear the word of the Lord, the Holy Spirit rebukes sin and gives us a true heart, a sincere heart to know the love and grace of God in the Lord Jesus.
Therefore, do not habitually come to worship late. Before the worship service, do not disturb the worship service, do not get caught up in worldly thoughts or worries during the worship service, do not doze off during the sermon, and humbly obey the Word of God. When praising, sing while thinking about the lyrics, and pray with all your heart during the prayer time. Prepare and worship, go to bed early the day before, and prepare your offerings in advance. Worship is offering to God. God is watching. Forsake falsehood and confess your sins to the Lord with a sincere heart. Only then can we worship properly and change will occur. Experience the grace of forgiveness of sins. My heart becomes lighter. Joy comes rushing in. And after worship, live according to the resolution you made in the worship service. Live as you set your mind to, as you receive grace. Then your faith will grow. Grace abounds. change and become new. Personality and faith mature. Receive blessings from God's worship. The Holy Spirit guides you on the path of truth, the path of life.
In 2012, I bless you to become a worshiper that God is pleased with and a true worshiper that God seeks.
