Title: Worthwhile Anxiety / Luke 18:18-27
Humans can be divided into five qualities according to their thoughts.
First, there are humans with bad quality. Such a person is a human being, but he is of such a bad quality that he cannot be called a human. As the saying goes, a person who has a human face and acts like a beast, is unscrupulous, is cold-blooded, and has become a slave to heartlessness, lawlessness, and greed. Mostly these people are criminally inclined to murder, robbery, kidnappers and arsonists.
Second, there are people of low quality. We often use the term “low-quality person” in our common language. In fact, there are people of low quality. This person is a person who deceives, betrays, enjoys insidious plots, and lives as a substandard existence with a confused conscience. Low-quality people are characterized by arrogant, self-righteous, insincere, irresponsible, and unmoving humanoids.
Third, there is a human being of common quality. It means an ordinary person. It's not great, but it's not extraordinary either. A person who has reached the level of an ordinary person in his level of knowledge, culture, character and behavior. He is a sound common sense person who knows where he stands, keeps his fountain, and clearly knows what to do and what not to do. The class that an intact person should have at least this level is a pervasive one.
The fourth is good quality human beings. Literally a human being of good quality. A person of good character, high credibility, strong sense of responsibility, knowing how to help the weak, strong social service spirit, and devotedly contributing to the community and neighbors with an active attitude. He is a good person who can live without the law, a conscientious person who can entrust everything with peace of mind, and a wonderful person who does not only think of himself but can consider and think about others. Because this person has a high personality level, he is also admired by others. He is a person worthy of being a model representative of society. The more good people there are, the brighter, more peaceful and prosperous the society. This is the standard that a person should be at this level.
The fifth and last is super quality humans. He is the most outstanding of all human beings. This peculiar human being is a life that has received God's wonderful favor, and it is the form of such a human being on the highest level possible only in faith. It is also the goal of life that Christians should pursue and move forward, which can be obtained on a spiritual level. Today we will have to become unique human beings. In order to do that, we need to think and think about putting our values in a higher place. We must not dwell on inhuman evil or vulgarity, but must have the determination to ponder and act on valuable things.
Perhaps this richness we have today is like a rich man, preventing us from thinking seriously. Sometimes, we may not know that this peace we enjoy is preventing us from thinking more worthwhile. What is stopping me today from seriously thinking about the problems of eternal life? It is a problem if there are things that prevent us from worrying about valuable concerns, faith, and beliefs. If our minds are always thinking about what to get and how to get more, if we stay in the animalistic worries of how to get more, then our troubles for eternal life will not arise.
Look at the ruler in today's text. There is a really sad scene, and what it is, I came before the Lord with sincere longing, but in the end, I ran into a decisive problem. He said, "If you have a sincere desire for eternal life, sell all you have and give it to the poor." This is our candid image, our naked image. It always seems to live in worthwhile anxieties, but when it is decisive, it worries about worthless things.
Dear saints!
Don't we lose valuable things because of worthless things? When was the last time I really seriously thought about my beliefs? How do I stand before God with how much worth worrying about my faith? Any effort in the wrong way is in vain. If you keep going down this road, you will end up on a more and more empty path. You have to stop, stand and find your way to sleep. The ultimate purpose of human beings is to live a life centered on eternal life. We can understand eternal life only with the heart of selling and giving away all of us, and only those who find valuable answers in valuable troubles can enter eternal life.
What worries are you living in today? I hope that you will live a worthy life of faith with worthwhile worries. Then the blessing of eternal life will be yours.
