Title: Wounds as rewards (Hebrews 12:5-13)
Contents
The history of mankind is a history of war. And if you read the Old Testament, the war came because of the Fall of Israel. It can be seen that Israel repented spiritually through the wounds of war, and the nation was united, and it was used as a new opportunity for revival and development. Since our country also suffered the bloody war of 6.25 44 years ago, uneasy times have continued for a single day when we cannot let go of our hearts. But when we see so many young people who have recently forgotten their wounds and are going down the wrong path, we can't help but lament. Our people and the church must become new people through the wounds of war and build a blessed country.
There are three factors driving history to catastrophe.
1) It is the religious and moral depravity of society.
2) It is a constant war.
3) It is a continuous natural disaster.
Confucius said that in order to become an ideal state, 1) the national defense must be strengthened, 2) there must be economic power, and 3) there must be trust between the ruler and the people.
Israel experienced the miracles of Jericho by faith, but failed to capture Ai. It is because of sin. Only when we Christians take the lead in praying and setting an example through our lives so that we can turn our wounds into glorious rewards with moral strength, spiritual strength, religious strength, and educational strength can we avoid the catastrophe of this history. I believe it will be.
1. Reasons for Discipline.
(1) Because he is a patient son. The true son will be whipped, but the illegitimate will not be whipped. In other words, discipline, whipping, and refining are confirming that you are a true son. Because the child is a true child, the parents do not go astray, but raise the whip despite their heartache in order to make him grow up righteously and more preciously.
(2) It is an educational discipline. To become a true human being. No matter how healthy and clever the child may be, it needs education and training. It is an educational training given to us to cast off our humanity surrounded by sinful nature and become God's true children.
(3) To make it good and holy. It is from the heart of the Father who expects to be cleansed through spiritual reflection through adversity.
(4) It is to bear good fruit. He said that he would use a whip to make his heart fertile. It takes sweat to become fertile. The pain of pulling out rocks and throwing them should also be accompanied. "Deep wounds make great people. (Schuller)"
Because our nation has a deep wound, it has created a miracle in Asia and has been recognized as a great nation and a great nation that people around the world pay attention to. Because we were hurt (artist/rich).
2. What kind of people will they be?
(1) A powerful people
In order to turn the wounds of 6.25 into a reward, we must cultivate spiritual strength/mental strength/material strength/educational strength. We need to develop skills that are superior to any other nation. Why were we colonized by China/Japan/Russia/? It was because he was powerless and powerless.
(2) A people with a sense of history
In the Jewish festivals, the Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles have a spiritual purpose and a reason not to forget the historical lesson. 'Remember the Pearl Harbor' is engraved on the Arizona (War Museum of Israel). For modern people, we seek 1) a disconnected sense of history and 2) a new world without roots. 3) We are proud of the lessons of history. Ignoring historical events. True rebuilders need ears to hear the cries of history.
(3) We must receive the lesson of faith.
Israel was taught a lesson of faith whenever war broke out. When they returned from captivity for 70 years, they gathered in the square in front of the floodgates, fasted, confessed with repentance that they were taken captive because of their sins, and sought God. You must have the wisdom of faith to create beautiful things from broken wounds. (Arabic Architects).
Let's pray/ Repent/ He carries out the movement to live righteously from me.
