Title: Yesterday's Person, Tomorrow's Person

Contents

▒▒ Mark 2:1~12

Today, we are having Sunday worship on August 26, 2007, and 10 years from now, if our faith is the same as it is now and nothing has changed, the past 10 years will be meaningless. Our life is a noble life that can only be lived once, and it can be called a holy life because God gave us breath and gave us life. If this sacred and noble life is to be lived a stagnant life, it is not really a desirable life. If yesterday is the same as it is today, this is a bad life.

What we read today gives us a great challenge is that yesterday this person was paralyzed and his hands and feet could not move properly, but he cannot live the same tomorrow. I had a hope that I would live a healthy life tomorrow. With this hope, your friend and the paralytic went to Jesus, and it is the content of today's Bible text that he has a healthy life different from yesterday. At least your friend and the paralytic had clear hopes of leading a healthy life tomorrow. And that hope has come true.

The hopes and dreams in the Bible may or may not come true, but the Bible gives us hopes and dreams that must come true. The hope that this paralytic and your friend had today was an unmistakable belief that it must come true. That hope has changed from a paralyzed person with an uncomfortable body yesterday to a person with a healthy body tomorrow. It is the fact that we are living a life of tomorrow that is clearly different from yesterday, not a static life that is the same yesterday and today. We are the same. We should not live tomorrow's life the same as yesterday's. We believe that we should live as people of tomorrow different from yesterday.

There are two types of hope in the Bible. The hope that the Bible gives is hope that comes from God. But the hope that comes from God is the hope that comes from my relationship with God. First, we must clearly have in our minds, “He is the Almighty God who created the heavens and the earth and there is nothing impossible. And what is the clear purpose of God for me? Jeremiah 29:11 says, “I know my heart toward you; my heart toward you is not a curse or judgment, but a blessing. It is my heart towards you that gives you new hope in the future.” We need to know this obvious fact.

The God who gives me life today and guides me as my father is not what I wanted to live as yesterday, but the fact that our God expects and leads to a life where God’s dreams for us come true tomorrow. must believe

Realizing that the God we believe in is the Creator God and the Almighty God, and that God’s purpose for me is not to live as yesterday’s person, but as tomorrow’s person, to live a life where God’s dream comes true is God’s will for us. Of course, like paralyzed people, like four friends, we can live tomorrow in a healthy and hopeful way.

However, the very important thing is that these dreams and hopes that God gives us disappear when we look at the world instead of looking at God. In order for God's dream for me to always burn in my heart, we must constantly look to God. I pray in the name of the Lord that the dream you have given me, the life of tomorrow you have given me, will live and work in our hearts every day.

Another important thing from today's text is that the paralytic and your friend have faith that if they go to Jesus, they will be healed. To believe in Jesus is not to have an idea or a philosophy. Jesus came to this earth to save us from the dead and to give us life. My belief is that we must die because of our sins, but that we also have eternal life because Jesus was resurrected. Even the paralytic believed that “If I go to Jesus, I will be healed.” This is faith.

There are a few important things from today's text: First, four friends and a paralytic had a plan. To become the person of tomorrow, you have to make a plan. The weakness of those who believe in Jesus is that they have no plans. In order for me to become a person of tomorrow, what I need to do is to make a plan so that God's dream always comes alive in my heart. Please make a specific plan.

And the Bible testifies that the more persecution and difficulties there are, the more our faith grows. Because I couldn't go in as usual, that faith went up on the roof. And the roof was pierced. In the end, the dream of a healthy life has come true.

Everyone, please believe that our dreams do not come true in comfort, but in difficulties. That's how dreams come true. When you are comfortable, you become a person without dreams. I believe that the more difficulties we have, the more clearly our dreams will shine and we will become the people of tomorrow.
