Title: You Are Happy / Deuteronomy 33:24-29
Content: You are a happy person / Deuteronomy 33:24-29 (Midnight worship)
Now, we have spent 2001 in the grace of God and welcome the new year of 2002 again. We give thanks, praise and glory to God who starts the new year and gives us new hope. First of all, before we start the new year, we give our first devotion to our body, mind, material, and time. And we entrust our entire life to God and begin with faith.
In the hopeful new year, I pray in the name of the Lord that your family and all you do will prosper in the Lord and be a year full of victory.
The words I just read are the last words that Moses, the man of God, blessed for the children of Israel. These are words of blessing to Asher, one of the twelve tribes of Israel.
In the new year, I hope that the families of the beloved saints will receive all the great grace and blessings of God according to the word he has given today.
1. It is your child's blessing.
'Asher received many blessings...' It is said that having many children is a blessing regardless of age or age. In other words, it is a blessing for your children to do well. Whether there is one son or one daughter, ten sons and ten daughters are children who are not enviable, that is a blessing.
No matter how many children you have, if you are a useless child who rots your parents and harms your neighbors, you will be angry rather than blessed.
In Proverbs 31:28, it is said, 'Their children shall arise and give thanks...'. It refers to children who know God's grace, thank their parents for their love and nurture, and do their best.
Guys, just because you are my child doesn't mean I can do it my way. God must nurture them and God must bless them. It's not going the way I think.
It is truly a blessing from God to have children prosper. Perhaps it is no exaggeration to say that it is the most precious of all blessings.
No matter who you are, parents want their children to do well. So feed well and dress well. They just do their best to send them to a top-notch school. I want my children to do well. It is more intolerable and heartbreaking for a child to become unhappy than for the parents themselves to become unhappy. Therefore, it is the best blessing for parents to say that their children are doing well.
And in Psalm 128:3, it says, '...The children around you will be like young olive trees.' For the Israelites, the olive tree is a symbol of blessing. It refers to a precious being. It brings prosperity to all. Such blessed children bring joy and pride to their parents and benefit everyone.
I pray in the name of the Lord that all the children in your household will grow up in God's grace and blessing, become the crowns of their parents, become the golden chains, be loved and respected by all, and become blessed children who glorify God.
2. He is a capable person.
Verse 25 says, “The bars of your door will be of iron and bronze, and you will have power according to the days of your life.” I really envy people who can do anything. Today's times are very evil and difficult. It is also spiritually dangerous. The evil enemy the devil prowls around to overthrow even those who believe, looking for someone to devour. In times like these, if you don't have the ability, you have no choice but to lose anywhere.
A soldier's greatest joy and reward is when he returns from battle after defeating his enemies and singing triumphs. The joy and reward of the players are also in winning. To win, you must become a person of ability. However, our lives are fragile beings that cannot cross the limits. Those of us who cannot afford fierce competition and unexpected risks.
However, verses 26 to 27 say that God will help and be with those who fear God and live by faith.
That's right. God is a God of power. He is the God of fulfillment. He created the heavens and the earth with one word. He is the all-powerful God who travels and operates the infinitely wide universe. Therefore, only when God is with us and helps us can we live a powerful life.
No matter how weak the wallpaper, once it sticks to the wall, it cannot be pierced or torn. Not because the paper is strong, but because the walls are strong. In this way, when the mighty God is with us and we depend on him and stick to him, we become strong and powerful men of God.
In the new year, with the grace of God's presence and help, I pray that all capable Christians will overcome the temptations of Satan, overcome tribulation and adversity, and be victorious.
3. It is a blessing of peace.
Verse 28 says, 'Israel dwells in safety...'.
No matter how wealthy you are, how powerful you are, and even if you have many children, if you do not have peace in your home and peace of mind, you cannot say that you are truly blessed. A pure blessing is peace. According to the Bible, the kingdom of heaven is righteousness and peace. Without righteousness and peace, nothing can be a blessing.
Peace is not something you can get in the world. Having a lot of material does not mean being there in peace. It's not about having a lot of knowledge. Nothing in the world can buy you peace.
In the book of Ecclesiastes, King Solomon, who had enjoyed wealth, honor, glory, and all authority at will, later confessed, 'All things are vanity and a chasing wind.'
As such, there is no true peace and rest anywhere in this world. But true peace lies with our Lord, the Prince of Peace.
When a child is in his mother's arms, it is most peaceful and safe. In this way, when our members abide in the Lord, we can find true peace. In other words, when we completely depend on and believe in our God and live according to His Word, we can gain boldness and peace of mind. So David said that I have no blessings except you.
In the new year, I hope that you will depend on the Lord with pure faith like a child and obey His Word. So, I pray in the name of the Lord that not only will our hearts overflow with true peace, but God's grace and peace will overflow in all of us.
4. Abundant grace.
There is nothing on this earth that can live without God's grace. It seems that we are living by our own strength, but all of us come through God's grace and help. That's why Paul said, 'All that I am is the grace of God'.
Verse 28 says, "...Jacob's fountain is scepter in a land of grain and new wine, a place where his heavens send dew."
There is nothing that a person can become without the grace of God. Moreover, believers must receive the grace of God. Then everything will be a blessing.
Grace is like the dew of Mt. Blood, which revives, renews, and enriches all things.
Therefore, where God's grace comes, the heart will be strong and enriched, and all things will prosper, and we will enjoy the abundance of spirit and body.
Grace is given to those who long for it. It is given to those who believe and wait. And it is given to those who obey the Word. You give whatever you want to these people.
Everything we have lived up to now is God's grace and blessing. When I look back on the past year, there were many difficult things, and there were many sad and painful things. However, words cannot express how grateful we are when we think of our God for protecting and guiding our loved ones in his grace.
Dear saints,
I hope that God's abundant grace will overflow even more in this new year. In particular, as in today's message, I hope that your children will be blessed and prosper, and that everything will be blessed and prosperous in the Lord. So, I bless you in the name of the Lord so that you can all hear the words, 'Happy are you, Israel.'
