Title: You are mine
The phrase “do not be afraid” appears 365 times in the Bible. Where does fear come from? The first use of the word fear in the Bible is in Genesis 3:10. After eating the forbidden fruit, Adam hid behind a tree to avoid the presence of God. And when God calls, he confesses, “I hid because I was afraid.” Where does your fear come from? In the end, it was given to us as a matter of sin. The ultimate fear is the fear of judgment. The emotion of death, the judgment of sin, is fear. Therefore, we feel fear when our relationship with God breaks down and we turn away from God. Because of their fallen sins, the people of Israel are eventually taken into captivity in Babylon. But the Lord speaks to them. He speaks in spite of the fact that he has sinned and that he has no choice but to die.
'Don't be afraid. I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine.' Hallelujah.
No matter how dirty, ugly, and sinful I am, the Lord never gives up on me. So today he tells us not to be afraid.
So why shouldn't we be afraid?
First, because the Lord has redeemed us and called us by name.
Dear brothers and sisters, Jesus Christ Himself died on the cross as a substitute for us. He endured the pain of the cross to save me and to give me life.
His death on the cross gave us life.
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the goodness of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
The Lord created us in His image. And through the crucifixion, He re-created us who were in sin. I called by name from a large crowd. Therefore, we believe that we are a chosen people and that we have become a royal priesthood.
You are so precious. So you shouldn't be afraid.
Second, the Lord tells us today, “I will be with you.”
Let's read verse 2 together. Start~
He says that he will be with you even as you pass through the water.
In Matthew 14, Peter saw the Lord and was walking on the water, but when he saw a storm, he was afraid and fell. And when I cried out to the Lord, ‘Lord, save me,’ I believe that the Lord took hold of Peter’s hand.
He says that He will be with you even when you pass through the fire.
Even when Daniel's three friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, were thrown into the fiery furnace and suffered tribulation, I believe that the Lord was with them in the midst of the fire and saved them.
Dear saints, the Lord is always with you.
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He leads me through green pastures and still waters. He refreshes my soul and leads me in paths of righteousness for the sake of His name. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil. You are with me; Your rod and your staff comfort me.' Hallelujah.
Third, as in verse 4, we should not be afraid because the Lord loves us as precious and precious beings.
Everyone cherishes the treasure they cherish the most by hiding it in the deepest place. To God, we are that kind of being. That is why the Lord protects us like the pupil of the eye. Because I love you so much. The Lord, who created all things, values and loves us so much, so what can we be afraid of?
Fourth, as in verses 5-6, it is because the Lord wants to bless us.
The text of this text is that God sends people to help us from the east, west, north, and south. He sends people from all sides to help us so we don't fall. What you want and what you need will come from all directions and will be supplied.
I pray that these wonderful blessings will come to all the saints today. Hallelujah.
why bless you Verse 4 - Because God counts you precious and honorable. Because I love you so much. Because there is nothing bad about it.
So, if you need something, if you want something, it will be sent from all directions. Hallelujah.
Beloved, when the Lord loves us so much, why are we afraid?
What are we afraid of when the Lord is with us?
The Lord created us for His glory. That is why he wants his people to live boldly and valiantly in the midst of this land. I pray that you will shake off fears, shake off the worries of life, shake off the dark reality before your eyes, and become saints who hold on to the Lord who sustains me, the Lord who is with me, and the Lord who blesses me.
The Lord speaks to us today. My dear son, my dear daughter, you are mine.
I have called you by name; you are mine. Hallelujah.
