Title: You are Mine (Isaiah 43:1-7)
Contents
It is said that believers have five kinds of anxiety. The first is anxiety about tomorrow. We have vague anxiety about the future. Have you ever been kicked out of your job? Will the business decline? Are old-age measures in place? Will my lovely children be able to get on well in good health? Will my children live well after I die? There are many fears of the future. The second is anxiety about God's love. I am anxious about what to do if I do something wrong and God does not love me. Third, I am anxious about my faith. So far, I have had no major difficulties, but I am anxious about what to do if my faith is weakened and I fall. Fourth, I am anxious about my ungodly life. Fifth, anxiety about what to do when tribulation or persecution comes. These insecurities are always on our minds and tormenting us. It's what keeps us occupied with fear.
However, today's Word is giving us the Word to calm all these anxiety and fear.
First, God introduces Himself. God says that I am the God who created you, the God who made you. And what kind of God do you say God is? “I am your God, the Holy One of Israel, and your savior.”
1. You are mine
This God has called us by designating, “You are mine” from among so many people. And he sealed them as God's own people.
“You are mine” means that God Himself has taken us out of the sinful world and registered the ownership as “God’s.” Now we belong to God, and God is our God. In order to register the transfer of ownership of real estate, you must pay the price. In this way, God sent Jesus Christ into this world to carry the cross to make us His. And made you bleed. made you die
God sent Jesus Christ into this world to find and restore us who were lost. He chose us one by one out of a thousand so that we could live as sons and daughters of God, who have no choice but to live as slaves to the evil devil and Satan and to be born again.
It is not because of our merits, nor because of our achievements. It's not because we're exceptionally good. This happened entirely out of God's love.
Among God's possessions, especially in verse 4, He said, "Because you are precious and honorable in my eyes, and I have loved you."
Regardless of our conditions or qualifications, by God's grace, God made us His own, yet regarded us as precious beings. We must become the people who firmly believe in even this one thing.
2. The guarantee you give to those who say you are mine
The people whom God seals, “You are mine,” are loved, protected, and blessed by God.
Malachi 3:17 says, "I will make them my special possession on my appointed day, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him." The people that God owns, saying, "You are mine," God cares for them as sons. This is the blessing that God's people possessed.
“As you pass through the waters, I will be with you; when you cross the rivers, the waters will not sink you, and when you walk through the fires they will not be burned, and the flames will not consume you, for I am the LORD your God. I am the Holy One of Israel and your savior." He said, "I gave Egypt as your ransom, and Cush and Sheba in your place." And he said, "Because I love you, I will give people for you, and people for your life."
We may change, but God does not change. Romans 8:35-39, “Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? But in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us, for I am convinced that neither life nor angels nor rulers nor things present nor things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other creature can save us It cannot be separated from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." If we consider our abilities, appearance, circumstance, and circumstances, we are likely to be frustrated, but if we are convinced that God has called us by name, we will be able to maintain peace and win in any case.
3. You are mine, the confidence of those who are called
Therefore, "Do not be afraid".
Today, I pray that the anxiety of young people will be healed. You have to know your worth and love yourself. Since we are called precious and honorable people, we should not abuse or demean ourselves.
This belief provides the strength to overcome and overcome any difficulties, situations of despair, pain, and crises. In other words, if God chooses me, protects and protects me, and is with me, who in the world can overcome us?, What power in the world can ignore us? We are God's chosen people, a people with special grace, who can be smarter and better than us? The assurance that the final victory will be ours is our strength and ability.
4. You are the mission of those called to be mine
I must live worthy of the glory of God, who is the master of my life. In the middle of verse 7, he says, “I have created them for my glory.” We must now live for the glory of God.
This is why God seals “You are mine” and “is precious, honorable, and loved” so that God, who created us and made us, can use us according to His will. When we have the realization, faith, and realization that we truly belong to God, we can be fully used by God. Those who have been called must carry out their mission.
What is your mission?
First, God said, "You are mine" so that we can receive worship in spirit and truth.
Next, God made us “you are mine” to promote the beautiful virtues of God. This is one of the reasons why we are God's own people. This is what we should do.
If I think that I am only mine, I have no choice but to live my own life. However, when we think that God has named and called this useless person by grace, and we think that it is God's, we live a God-centered life. I believe that our lives will be filled with victorious lives if we know and believe even one thing of the love of God who has called us among many people.
