Title: You Are Not Yours!

Contents

You are not yours! (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

Today's Bible verse 20 says this. “Because it was bought with a price…”

Why are we not ours? The answer is found in verse 20. The same is said elsewhere in 1 Corinthians. (1 Corinthians 7:23) “You are the body that God bought with the price. Do not be slaves to men.” (Revelation 3:5) “He who overcomes will be clothed in white robes, and I will not blot out his name from the book of life; I will not blot out his name before my Father and before his angels. I will confess.” We are the ones whose names are written in the book of life. how? Because it is the soul that Jesus bought with his blood. Therefore, the prerequisite for our confession that our body is not mine is the confession that is possible when the confession of faith that Christ died for our life and paid the price for our sins is predicated. In other words, whoever believes in Christ, who died for their sins, gives their body and possessions of my life by giving our body to the temple where the Holy Spirit of God dwells. Instead of claiming that it is, you should confess that you should live a life that pleases God.

My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.

I didn't read it today, but these words appear before me. (1 Corinthians 6:15) “Do you not know that your body is a member of Christ? But can I take the members of Christ and make them the members of a prostitute? It cannot be.”

The reason why we should value our body and our life more than we think it is ours is that Jesus sacrificed for us. Jesus has entrusted his mission to me, who he bought with his blood. Therefore, we are now members of Christ, called saints to live His life. Don't you know that your body is a member of Christ? With the question, do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? God is asking the question. We are very noble beings. As members of Christ, we are called to a noble life as a temple of the Holy Spirit.

However, if you only try to enjoy what is such a valuable existence, its value will fade. Value shines brighter when you use it worthy of it. If talent is left unattended, talent dies. If you just pile up money, it becomes a source of corruption that the rotten me vibrates. If you have power and don't serve it, that power will soon be destroyed.

Then what value should I live with? In a bad way, "It's the worst." Is there a saying? It's a sarcastic phrase, but if you look at it literally, it's a good word. Maybe handsome or pretty people have a bad personality. Take a look around you. The way I see them, they all look good. *^^* We believe that people who believe should become a life that we do and live, not a life we do and live. Shouldn't we pay the price for the blood that the Lord shed, which is so precious and precious?

Why did God buy us at a price?

life with

Who is a saint? A set apart, holy, set apart by God. You and I were in our sins. Sin always comes with the wage of death. God paid the price for Jesus' death on the cross and made us sinners righteous. Therefore, we have become God's holy people, saints. How did this change happen? (Ephesians 2:8-9) “You have been saved by grace through faith. This is not from you, it is a gift from God. Salvation does not come from works, so that no one can boast of it.” Then, if we are saved and become children of God by God's grace, that is, by the blood of Jesus, what should we do? (Ephesians 2:10) “We are the work of God. God made us in Christ Jesus to do good works. This is what God has prepared so that we can live our lives doing good works.”

In a word, you have to do . What He bought us with a price is that He did it so that we might do good works. That's right. All of you who have become saints through the grace of God! We have to pay for saints. Paying for saints means living as a separate being in the world. Buy it at a price by living a holy life.

The life you do.

God has given us a holy job so that our lives may be enriched and we may become great in our future, the eternal heaven. And he gave me a job to do.

We have to pay, and we should pay it with gratitude, but aren't there times when we can't pay? I do it if I want to, and I don't if I don't want to. If I like it, I do it, if I don't like it, I don't. If I don't have any difficulties, I do it, if I have difficulties I don't.

Dear saints, Is that what I have entrusted to you to do?

How on earth do I know God and do or not do the work God has entrusted to me according to my mood, environment, and problem?

What you and I are misunderstanding is not that we do what we want to do and not do what we don't want to do, depending on our mood, our circumstances, and so on. It is because I have the idea that this work is a volunteer work in that heart. However, we did not come to volunteer. (In fact, if we are volunteers, we will have to work even harder.) If we rely on today's words to tell you, we bought it at a price. As the expression says, we are people who have already paid the price and have been bought by the Lord. Therefore, we must have the thought that we cannot claim what is mine as our own, so we can only be loyal. That's why the Bible tells us to be faithful.

(Rev 2:10) ...be faithful to death. Then I will give you the crown of life.”

What honor is the position? Is my position a measure of my faith?

no. It is a task that God has entrusted to me to bless me.

So, even if you die, you have to bear it! I have to pay the price for building me up! If I don't pay, the Lord will surely hold us accountable! With that in mind, you have to fulfill your mission. (Luke 12:47-48) “A servant who knows his master’s will and does not prepare anything or does not follow his master’s will will be beaten a lot. But if you didn't know the master's will, you would be less beaten even if you did something worthy of being beaten. Those who have received much should give back much, and those who have been entrusted with much should give more.”

Concluding...

Dear all! Let's confess one more time.

“My body is not mine.” “My life is not mine.” “My time is not mine.” “My money is not mine.”

Would you like to use it more recklessly because it is not mine? It's not like that.

Because we belong to God who profess to be Lord, I am more precious because we are bought with the blood of His Son Jesus. My life is more precious and precious. Once again, please encourage the person next to you with love.

“Please value the saints.” “Please pay your position.”

I pray that the Spirit of God will dwell in all of you, the temple of God's holy Spirit, and that the last words of today's Bible text will come true to you.

“Therefore, glorify God with your body!”
