Title: You Are Special (January 31)
Contents
We are God's work. To do good, God made us in Christ Jesus. This is what God has prepared so that we can live doing good works (Ephesians 2:10).
Have you ever seen Max Lucado's work in a book or movie?
was also introduced in many musicals. If you watch the animated movie You, a tree village appears and the main character Punchneller appears. Punchnello lets us know how special God cares about us.
People score us!
In the world we live in, people are judged by their scores. The more gold stars you have in the country of trees, the more special you become. Those with a lot of gold stars will receive a special prize, but those without gold stars will ignore the demerit points. Smart people get gold stars, stupid people get penalties. Stars are for talented and special people. But those who do wrong are given a penalty.
We think that if we do something well, we will be happy. Our parents want us to do well in our studies too! At school, they want to be praised by their teachers! I'm trying to get recognition from my friends. We are afraid of being alone. The main character, Punchnello, also struggles to get stars. But Montinello makes mistakes, and every time he does, he loses his confidence and dies.
We are special! Because God made it!
Punchnello had a friend, Lucia. However, Lucia has no gold stars and no penalty points. Punchnello approached Lucia and asked why she had no marks on her body. "It's nothing. I just go to see Uncle Ellie every day." Lucia knew she was special when she met the carpenter, Mr. Eli, who made her. Finally, Punchnello went up the hill along the narrow road to meet Mr. Eli and entered the large workshop.
Punchnello asks Mr. Eli. “Do you know me? “Then, I made you!” And Eddie tells Montinello. “I don't care what you think. Who gives you a gold star? It doesn't matter what other people think of you. You are special.” Punchinello asks. "Am I? I'm special? I can't walk fast, I can't jump high. My body has paint all over it. Why am I so special to you?"
Uncle Eli looked down at Punchnello and put his big hand on his little shoulder and spoke slowly.
“Because I made you. You are very precious to me.
No one had ever looked at Punchnello with the look of Uncle Eli or the carpenter who made him. Uncle Ellie says: “Now, come see me every day. I'll let you know how much I love you! Be sure to remember I made you and you are special. I don't make anything wrong.” That's right. God made us unique.
This is recorded in Psalm 139:14. “I praise you. You have made me wonderful and wonderful. Your work is truly amazing. My soul knows all too well.”
I am the only one in this world!
Uncle Eli says: “Every day I have been waiting for you to come.” Yes, God has been waiting for us every day.
If you watch the animated movie "You are special", a song appears in the final ending scene. Finally, meditate on the lyrics of that song.
I'm the only one in this world, you and I are one
No matter where I go, whatever I do, no matter how much I look around, there is no one like me.
We are all special.
We are very special people, our most precious friends.
Sometimes I feel like there's nothing special about me.
“Who cares about me?” I don't even think like that.
But always remember! I am the only one in this world
I am a very special person, no one is just like me.
There is no one to replace me. No one has the same face as me.
I am the only one in this world
