Title: You Are Well
Contents
Bible: Ephesians 6:1-4 Title: In this way, it may be well with you and you may live a long life (Father's Day)
The 5th commandment from God through Moses promised to bless your life in the land that God gave you, ‘honor your parents,’ and the Apostle Paul extended the application of the 5th commandment. The relationship between parents and children is God's channel through which all genes are passed on to children by God's sovereignty, which cannot be done at will, such as buying or changing things. In the modern household, the leadership of the household changes depending on who holds the remote control, but the household that worships God differs depending on who prays for blessings for the whole family. The church should become a house church serving hunger for three generations to come together. A tree without roots is a stake and a power pole, not a living tree.
1. Obey your parents in the Lord
Jacob gathered his 12 sons and prayed a prophetic blessing, and Job was a priest who offered intercessory sacrifices for his children. David was a king who rewarded and punished his children. Parents had Christian authority over their children. According to the Bible, those who did well in errands for their parents were blessed. When Jesus was young, he obeyed his parents. Isaac was obedient when choosing a marriage mate and going to the Moriah service. Isaac didn't have No in his parents' will. Joseph went to Dothan on an errand from his father and was sold to Egypt, but God made him prime minister of Egypt and spared his parents and brothers.
David went out to the battlefield to find out the safety of his brothers on an errand from his father, but he beheaded Goliath and became the king of Israel. Jesus Christ received the mission of God the Father, became incarnated in the world, finished the atonement on the cross, and ascended to heaven by resurrection and reigning over the whole world from the right throne of God.
2. Honor your father and mother
Filial piety is a good deed that pleases God. (Col 3:20) God is the one who receives worship and the one who receives the filial piety that children return to their parents.
“Cursed is he who despises his father and mother; and all the people shall say, Amen.” (Deuteronomy 27:16)
3. This is the first commandment with a promise. (It may be well with you and you will live a long life)
God has placed a reward in order to honor parents well. ‘It will be well with you and you will live a long life…’ You will build a prosperous family. And you will live a long life. He promised blessings that prosper in all things as your soul prospers.
4. Do not provoke your children, but bring them up in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.
It is said that a child's personality or personality is determined for the entire life of a child within 36 months of being born. Parents are the absolute teachers because 80% of the time during that period is influenced by their parents. In the Bible, children are absolutely influenced by their parents by using the name of someone's son Amu-gai, and using the father's name together with the son.
Children have higher IQ, but lower personality (EQ) and moral quotient (MQ). When parents teach their children with the word of the Lord, they can receive filial piety. Therefore, from the time of breastfeeding, you must be educated by the word of the Lord.
Prayer: Lord, please please God by keeping the first commandment of filial piety, which you have promised, and let us also receive and enjoy the happiness and longevity that God gives us on this earth.
