Title: You life! / 1 Peter 2:11-12
The Bible defines life in many ways. However, in verse 11 of the text, it says, “Beloved, I urge you, as strangers and passersby, to control the lusts of the flesh that fight against the soul.” Indeed, life is like a stranger and a passerby. It is said that when a human comes into the world and lives in one world, it is like a stranger and a passerby staying overnight in an inn room and leaving. Therefore, no matter how clean an inn room is, no matter how good the facilities, good food, and the innkeeper is kind, just as a person cannot live in an inn room for several decades, no matter how much people try to live a long and wonderful life in an inn room in the world, they cannot live like that Without it, life is like a stranger and a passerby. That is why it is one world even if you live well, and one world if you live poorly. It is one world if it is good and one world if it is bad. Therefore, life is like a sojourner, a passerby, passing on a completely irreversible path. It's a once-in-a-lifetime thing.
It is said that ‘who’s father has passed away’. It means you have passed this world. It is said that ‘someone’s mother died’. This also means that after living in one world as a stranger, he returned to his original hometown in this world. In this way, life is a passerby and a traveler. There are three problems this traveler's life has to solve. ‘First, where are you from?’, ‘Second, what are you doing now?’ and ‘Where are you going tomorrow?’ These are the three essentials of life as a stranger and a passerby.
Dear saints,
Thousands of people today are living in a fight for the devil, but it is impossible to know how many orphans in life are crying in the streets of Seongnam and Gwangju because they do not know where life comes from, what they do, and where they are going. Also, there are many people who think they are their hometown where they will live for a thousand or ten thousand years here in this world and try to establish a hundred years system. But it is a foolish life, vain and vain. It's just a dream in vain to catch the wind.
Like the poem, “If I lived in this dreamy world, would I always live, even if the pleasures of life were good, I would catch the wind, but this is not a dream of a nightmare during rough times, hardships, winds, and waves, it is sad, where are you running?” No matter how good this time may be, it is like a bubble that cannot be caught, like trying to catch the wind. Life is a stranger. A stranger lives for a while, everything is uncomfortable and painful for a stranger, a traveler misses his hometown, and a stranger has no peace until he goes to his father's house.
you life! Where are you from?
The Bible clearly says that life must have a destination or a place of origin. This cannot be known through science or human knowledge, but those who live by faith believe that their hometown is bright. The Bible begins with a dignified declaration that we humans were created by God, and states that God created man in His image.
Being created in the image of God means that humans were created with a high level of reason. So, we have established a system of science and knowledge in each area of the world, developed nuclear power, launched spacecraft, and researched biotechnology to clone life. Also, being made in the image of God means being created with a conscience. That is why ethics and morality exist only in human society.
Moreover, humans were created to be religious beings. We humans long for eternal life and have a high religious longing for spiritual strength. The Lord taught these people the way of true religion, which is John 4:24. “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
We are a parent and child relationship that shares spiritual life with God. We receive God's grace through fellowship with God, we realize the existence of man through worshiping God, and we have fellowship with God through prayer. This means that we humans come from God, and it also means that life is a being that will return to that country for eternity.
Because we originally came from the kingdom of heaven because of God's creation, our citizenship is in heaven, and our hometown is also in heaven. Therefore, the hometown we should long for is the kingdom of heaven, and the hometown we should go to is also the kingdom of heaven. It is a place God made for us. It is an eternal place, it is a holy place, and it is a place where we live with God forever. We must live on this earth as strangers longing for our homeland.
Of course, the original origin is not visible. But the ancestors of faith walked steadily, looking at the invisible heavenly home as if they were visible. That is why it is said that ‘faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen’. I hope that you will live today while longing for this country. I pray that it will be a step of faith moving forward toward a better hometown, the New Jerusalem in heaven.
you life! What are you here for?
This is “what do you live for?” and “what is the purpose of your life?” Some people think they came to this world to eat. They work to eat and work day and night to eat. Therefore, we laugh and cry because of what we eat. Some people think they came to the world to raise money. If there is a way to raise money by any means and method, any method is mobilized. There is no character or morality to be found.
Some people waste their lives on worldly pleasures and pleasures, or they risk their lives on marrying and getting married. There are a lot of thieves who say that some people will hit the back of others and steal their livers and that they will live a good life without any effort. That is why they do not hesitate to commit horrific murders that kill lives for a few thousand won. Some people do not know what life is, and there are people who want to live in a world where the wind blows and waves.
However, in Matthew 24:44, there is something Jesus said to these people. “Therefore, be ready, for the Son of Man comes at an hour you do not expect.” The day when the Lord, who is our life's greatest hope, our savior, and our life, comes again, he will take us to the eternal heavenly dwelling, so be prepared. It means to prepare by faith, to prepare by obedience, and to live while preparing for the reward of the kingdom of heaven.
Therefore, I pray in the name of Jesus that you will become saints who do not simply live life without purpose, but who prepare it with oil filled with the Holy Spirit like the five wise virgins through faith and obedience, and who can appear gloriously when the Lord calls for you to come.
you life! Where are you going now?
This verse means ‘where is the end of life’. Most people say it's over when you die. So there are people who think that death is the end of life. Our Lord has spoken to these people who are wandering here and there without a homeland. “Do not let your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many dwelling places.”
This verse tells us not to worry about what happens when a person dies, but only to believe in God and believe only in Jesus. There are many places in my Father's house, so don't be troubled, just believe. It is a message to keep the fidelity of faith and to live uprightly toward the goal of the cross with a good conscience.
Everyone has a day when life in this world ends. In Psalm 90:10, it is said, 'The swift years are only toil,' and in Job 14:1-2, it is said that 'the life of the world is only suffering', and in James 4:14 and below, it is said that 'the life of the flesh is a morning mist.' ' It is said that 'the life of the flesh is like grass of the field' in 1 Peter 1:24. Hebrews 9:27 says, “It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes the judgment.”
Napoleon, the hero of the world, recited life free of charge, saying, ‘Isn’t the water full of the five seas the tears of life? and the wind that blows from the six continents is the groan of life?’ However, in Philippians 1:21 it is said that 'it is gain to die', Revelation 14:13 says that death is 'the cessation of labor in the flesh', and in Genesis 5:24, death is 'God' You can see that it is an invitation from '.
Also, according to Isaiah 57:2, death is 'rest of the soul', and according to 1 Thessalonians 4:17, death is 'removed from this world and is with Christ always', Revelation 7:13 and below. According to the verse, death means 'a life under God's protection and living forever'.
Also, in 2 Corinthians 5:1, it is said that the 'veil of the flesh that will fall' becomes a 'glorious spiritual body', and in Romans 6:6, the 'body of sin' is a 'spiritual body', Philippians 3 In verse 21, it is said that 'low body' and 'low body' become 'noble body' and 'glory body'.
In Revelation 21:8, 'those who go to hell go to heaven', 'death', that is, 'those who are perishable', 'have eternal life'. ' also said. That way is the true way, the truth, and the life. God's invitation is the original hometown of the world's refuge. It is an eternal sanctuary, a place where sighs and burdens are lifted, and peace, joy, and joy abound.
Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord, and in season and out of season, let us live longing for this homeland. On the day that this physical curtain will fall, let's enter the eternal house that God has built. I pray that you and I will enjoy eternal blessings by being praised by Jesus, dictating the crown, and participating in the joy of the Master.
