Title: You Must Control Your Mind

Mind must be in control

Text/ Proverbs 4:23, 16:32, 25:32

1. Introduction

Therefore, the value of a person is not in the body, but in the mind contained in the body like a clay vessel. Gandhi became Mahatma Gandhi (the great soul) not because of his 40 kg of strong and thin body, but because of the mind contained in his 40 kg of strong and thin body. That's right! It truly is. The intrinsic value of a person is in the heart that the person holds and lives (The man is spirit with body).

2. Duality of Mind

However, the human heart has two characteristics. One is the characteristic that can be directed toward the good-positive-beautiful, and the other is the characteristic that can be directed toward the evil-negative-dirty. Jesus said of this special phenomenon of the heart, “A good person brings good things out of the good stored up in them, and an evil person brings evil things out of the evil stored up in them” (Luke 6:45). The things of the Spirit, he who pursues the Spirit, thinks of the things of the Spirit” (Romans 8:5-6).

Therefore, the Bible says, * Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life (Proverbs 4:23) * He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his heart is better than he who takes a city (Proverbs 16:32) *The crucible refines silver and the furnace refines gold, but the LORD tests the heart (Proverbs 17:3) *For whatever the heart thinks, so is the great man (Proverbs 23:3). 7) *He who does not control his heart is like a city that falls down and has no walls (Proverbs 25:28).

The one who guards, rules, and does not control his heart is deceitful above all things and is deeply corrupted, leading to eternal death and punishment. You will receive eternal life and peace. How many times have we all lost control of our minds and went after it? No is it?

3. How do you control your mind?

The human heart is like tongues of fire, constantly changing without resting for a moment, and it is said to be this and that. It used to be a good, kind, righteous, and beautiful heart, but eventually it turns into an evil and dirty heart, and then it becomes a feeling of high spirits, and then all of a sudden, I want to be noble and clear, but then it quickly becomes mean and sloppy, generous and generous. Also, in an instant, he becomes naive and petty.

Peter said, “Even if they all forsake you, I will never forsake you. I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death. Even if I die with you, I will not deny you” (Matthew 26:33-35), but the young maid said in one word, “I curse and swear, and I do not know him” (Matthew 26: 69-75)”, so is our heart. No, no one would say that. Therefore, you have to guard--ruly--control your heart.

How do I manage this uncontrollable mind?

first. First of all, the place is very important for the work of controlling the mind. Telephone-Internet-Cellphone-A place where people will not disturb you, a place where the atmosphere is bright and clear, a place that is neither cold nor hot, and preferably a place with a beautiful natural environment.

The fact that Jesus and his disciples visited the mountains, wilderness, the seashore, and quiet fields, and that prayer centers, monasteries, temples, and research institutes were built in places with excellent natural environments, show the importance of a place suitable for feng shui.

second. A good posture is very important when it comes to taking care of your mind. In our Christian tradition, there is a slight neglect of proper posture. I think we should learn a few things from our oriental traditions about proper posture. These are cross-legged-half-cross-legged sitting postures - kneeling postures - prone postures - postures that are not seated in a chair.

third. Now, in order to take control of your own mind, first of all, you must take a good look into your own heart. What is my heart thinking right now? What is the situation in my life? Why did my mind think this way? Since when has this feeling been flowing? Who created this feeling? You must thoroughly dig into the roots of your heart through quiet meditation-meditation-praying.
