Scripture: 2 Timothy 4:1-5
Dear saints!
The first week of March brought us so much sadness and sorrow. As you all know, an earthquake and tsunami hit nearby Japan, causing tens of thousands of lives and incalculable property damage. A nuclear power plant that Japan, a developed country, built using the most up-to-date construction methods is collapsing. All the media and media outlets around the world reported at once, “How can this happen? I saw you deplore, saying, "You are the king." It is very unfortunate that such a huge accident was created by the king and talented people. I really don't know what to believe in the world.
God's justice is not being shown properly by the rulers who wanted to make a country where God's justice is truly realized on this earth. You can clearly see that God's providence exists in the history of suffering on this earth, the scene of sin, and the whirlwind of blood. Satan tempts humans to build the Tower of Babel to block God's work of salvation. With gigantic buildings, long bridges, and scientific universalism, people can do anything
I'm proud of myself as I did. But, dear saints! When we look in the mirror of history, we see that the Tower of Babel is not perfect. What lessons can we learn from the Soviet nuclear leak incident, the American spacecraft explosion, and the British ironclad Tytaric sinking? Doesn't everyone show imperfection through sin? Let's remember that all the man-made bridges of the Tower of Babel will collapse at some point, just like a nuclear power plant collapsed due to an earthquake and tsunami in Japan. A huge man-made nuclear power plant. Bridges, buildings, machines, philosophy, science, etc. The Tower of Babel will all collapse in the face of God's almighty reign over time.
