“You were born to be loved” This is the song of CCM and has now become a song loved not only by Christians but also by the general public. That means a lot of people agree.
If there is one word that is heard the most and used the most by Christians as well as people, it is probably the word ‘love’. However, it seems that they are close together every day as “loneliness in the crowd,” and they are among many people, but the reality is that there are no people with whom they can sincerely talk.
The most basic desire of all human beings is to love and be loved, and we are created to live in a loving relationship.
John, who received Jesus' love the most, said, "Because God so loved us, we also ought to love one another" (1 John 4:11).
Therefore, it is natural for Christians to be ‘messengers of love’.
Unfortunately, however, we experience many failures in love above all else in human relationships.
The reason is that the love I want and the love the other person wants are different.
It's like a dog and a cat.
Dogs raise their tails and shake them when they are happy, while cats, on the other hand, lower their tails for joy.
And when a dog is angry, it publishes its tail, and a cat raises its tail.
We also want and express love, but there is a misunderstanding because of the different ways of expressing it.
Children want parental attention and time, but parents often express their love with money or gifts, and complain and complain when they meet friends who want to hear praise and recognition.
Even though we are so close, we see different ways of talking and feeling love.
So how do we feel loved when others do something for us?
Each person has a different way of experiencing love depending on their experience of growing up.
This is what the American Christian psychologist Gary Chapman calls “five expressions of love.” These are ‘words of recognition’, ‘time together’, ‘gift’, ‘service’, and ‘contact’.
Depending on the degree of expression of these five types of love, each person will have a different index of feeling love.
Among them, the most loved one is the word of love.
So, please spread the word of love to the people we need to love in order to become Christ's 'messengers of love'. Don't just pay attention and think.
The saying that you were born to be loved means that you must first love in order to receive love.
As Jesus said, “Treat others as you would like them to treat you” (Luke 6:31). If we want to be loved, let's love first.
