Title: You Will Know / Exodus 16:6-12
You will know the contents / Exodus 16:6-12
Key Verse: “Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel, “In the evening you will know that the Lord has brought you out of the land of Egypt, and in the morning you will see the glory of the Lord” (Exodus 16:6-7).
Moses' heart is sad. ‘Why the hell are these people here? Why do you not know that complaining and murmuring like this is against God? Why don't you know that complaining and dissatisfaction are of no use to life Why are you destroying yourself!’
Moses says. “You will know that the LORD brought you out of the land of Egypt… ” The Israelites still do not know exactly who God is. You may know God's name. ‘The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob’ or ‘the One who is always with the Israelites’. However, it is just knowledge and does not have a profound effect on life. To truly know is that knowledge is touched in the heart and that emotion is transferred from life to practice, and this life continues and that knowledge takes root as an attitude of life.
God says “You will eat meat at sunset, and in the morning you will be satisfied with bread, and you will know that I am the Lord your God.” God's greatest concern is for people to get to know you. The prophet Hosea cried out to the fallen people of Israel: “Know the LORD. Do your best to know the Lord!” To truly know God, you must make an effort. It's not like sitting cross-legged and drinking coffee. We must kneel in prayer. I must confess that God is the Lord of my life. With sweat and tears, we must make a decision and obey in the difficult situations of life. You must also have the experience of obeying the will of the Lord even if you suffer materially.
John 1:10 says: “(Jesus, who is the true light) was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world did not know him.” So people did not accept Jesus. The problem is that you don't know. In a word, the Israelites' life in the wilderness is a training process to get to know God. How deeply do you know God? What are we doing to truly know God?
Prayer: Help me to know God more deeply. Help me to know that you are greater than the difficulties of the situation. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
