Title: You Will See (Mark 14:53-65)
Contents
[Introduction]
Enemies gathered together----the disciples who all ran away, the disciples who followed them far away,
dish
The suffering Jesus, the suffering church, the suffering saints.
Inconsistent (must be two or more), but true evidence.
[Main subject]
1. Be quiet.
#Isa 53,700 years ago, it is still as prophesied.
*A wonderful book, a wonderful prophecy, a wonderful fulfillment, a truly wonderful record.
#"Sheep is Sheep" (The Times)
* Be quiet when you are teased and afflicted. Our Lord did so.
2. Prove it.
*But Jesus opened his mouth.
: Even when Pilate said that he would let him go if he just spoke, he opened his silent mouth.
He must have had a lot to say about that---absurd, absurd, and absurd.
* I am
*You will see
*Our evidence is prophecy. In the last days, we live as prophets.
To be a witness is to turn a prophet.
[Appointment]
"You will see"
The Jesus they saw---Powerless, salivating---
I have only seen the dirty, ugly cross.
People who can't see more than that.
What the church today, the world that persecutes and ridicules the saints, does not see--
But I will see you in the future.
[conclusion]
Do you know the silence of the Lord?
If the suffering you deserve, accept it quietly.
Remember the testimonies of the Lord?
Testify that Jesus is the praiseworthy Son of God.]
Testify that He is the One who will come again in glory.
You will soon become a prophet.
Not only do we see Jesus suffering, but the great who is beyond him.
Look to Jesus.
