(Ecclesiastes 12:1-8, 2 Timothy 1:3-5)
>
(…) Young people are the hope of the family. It is a group that shows the potential of that society. A home or church with many young people is a blessed place. youth! young people! youth! It's an embarrassing thing to say. It's a hopeful name. There is a future and there is a possibility.(…) However, when you are young, your life can be wrong. It is the time of youth when one goes astray because he or she loses his way or goes astray. (…) That is why the Bible advises, “Remember God your Creator, before the days of trouble come, and in the days of your youth.” Today I would like to introduce you to an attractive young man. This young man is a young man named Timothy whom Paul loved and cherished. Timothy has three wonderful charms.
① He was a young man with faith.
(…) Timothy was originally born to a Greek father and a Jewish mother. The father wanted his son to grow up Greek. But the mother wanted her son to grow up as a Jew. The mother tried to instill in her son the faith to remember God the Creator. This was a huge challenge for Timothy. I live in the secular Greek world, and I had to have godly faith in my heart, so there was a conflict in my heart. Who will you follow? When you are young, you have to make these thoughts and decisions. Today's age is the sensuous world and the sensible generation. In the blink of an eye, the world changes, the fashion changes, the senses change (…) So who should Timothy today follow? Timothy follows his mother. I keep a clean faith in my heart and live (…). At this time of constant change, confident faith makes you an attractive young man.
② He was a young man with a prayer behind him.
In other words, he was a strong young man. It was the backbone of the family who knew faith as the glory of the family. (…) Everyone, this is a solid background. Those who believe in this as their backbone are those who know what faith is. This is not something that money can buy, and it is not something that can be imitated suddenly. (…) Guys, what heritage, what background, and which background do you believe are the best? Be the background of faith for young people. Please be behind the prayer. He said that a child on his lap never perishes. (…) Timothy was not a person who had a brilliant youth, but he had a background of faith that gave him strength and strong support. Everyone, please be the background of faith and the prayer behind your children.
③ You must have the gift of God.
