Who is a teacher? School education in Korea is facing a crisis. It is said that a large number of school teachers applied for retirement, and the front-line principals decided to have teachers rest at the tannery on Teacher's Day on May 15. The reason is also embarrassing to hear. As a result, the morale of teachers has dropped.
The Greek word for teacher is "didaskalos," which means 'to guide people to know them.' 'Help us to have knowledge.' It is 'the one who leads people to know' and 'the one who helps people to have knowledge'.
the church teacher
1) A person who has received a vocation (Romans 12:6-7)
Those who are called to do the will of God. He is a person who has a strong sense of calling and carries out the work that God has entrusted to him with the authority and power that God gives him.
2) God's instrument (Romans 12:6-7, Ephesians 4:11)
Teaching is a gift from God. A gift is an ability freely given by God. A teacher is a person who has been empowered for the work of God.
3)) Education is not according to the teacher's own thoughts or methods, but according to God's thoughts and methods. Therefore, the teacher of the church is very important.
The Lord has given the church offices according to gifts.
① Apostle - A person who directly received a mission from Jesus, a person who witnessed and testified of the risen Lord.
②Prophet - A person who preaches the gospel while traveling.
③ Evangelist - A person who preaches the gospel while traveling to unbelievers under the guidance of the apostles. Philip was called the evangelist (Acts 21:8)
1. The great role of a teacher
The teacher teaches the students in the church
(1) To perfect (to develop, to advance, to restore)
(2) to serve (diakonia, serving others without pay)
(3) Building up the body of Christ (building up the church and members) Teachers should lead students with this goal in mind.
2. Teacher's educational goals
1) Harmony of faith and knowledge
“Believing in the Son of God and becoming one in the knowledge” - The teacher should guide the student to align his faith in Jesus with his spiritual knowledge (v.
2) Teach them to mature.
So, we need to teach them not to become childish children who fall into the tricks of men and deceitful temptations, so that they can grow up to be people who do the truth (verses 14-15).
3) Teach them to be like Jesus.
"To the full measure of the stature of Christ" - We must lead them to become like Jesus (verse 13).
4) Let the church grow.
The teacher should make sure that each member helps, cooperates, and works together so that the whole church can grow (verse 16).
3. Skilled Teacher
1) Those who learn and are trained
"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me" (Matt 11:29) - You must undergo rigorous and rigorous training. A teacher is one who learns and is trained. Teachers must train themselves to become competent leaders.
2) Those who have been called
Those in charge of teaching and entrusting the soul (Mt 25:14-25)
Those who have been given the gift and power to teach (Luke 21:15)
A person appointed as a teacher by the Lord (Acts 13:20)
3) Beloved
Those who love God (1 John 4:16) - Obedience
Those who love people (John 3:16) - Salvation
Those who practice love through death (Romans 5:8)

① You must have the assurance of salvation.
② You must have a sense of calling.
③ You must be proficient in Bible knowledge.
④ We must lead a prayer life.
※Teacher's knowledge
①The knowledge of God
The knowledge of the Holy Trinity is the first knowledge that a teacher should know. A teacher must live with God and bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
② Bible knowledge
The Bible is the teacher's weapon. The Bible is the most important textbook for teachers and students. Teachers must have spiritual and academic knowledge of the Bible. The teacher should read the Bible first and read a lot.
③Knowledge of students
Familiarity with the student's home environment - address, phone number, and parental beliefs
Familiarize yourself with the spiritual maturity of your students - whether you pray or read the Bible
Knowledge of students' wisdom and vocabulary - Check academic ability
Familiarize yourself with your student's friends and interests - see who you're close with
You need to figure out what the student's problem is.

Teachers work hard to teach our children. I hope the church and parents recognize the hard work of the teachers, pray for them, comfort them, and give thanks. I know teachers who work hard without name and without light. A teacher's work is a precious work that even angels admire. May God's grace and blessings overflow upon our hardworking teachers and our children.
