Title [Acts 13:13-52] Pisidian Antioch Evangelism
After successfully completing the evangelism in Cyprus, Paul and Barnabas got on a boat to Perga, where John returned to Jerusalem. They went further and reached Antioch in Pisidia, where they preached the gospel in the center of the synagogue. Here, too, many fruits of evangelism were obtained. Now, let's examine the contents and receive grace.
1. The Gospel that Paul tested (13-41)
The prophet Isaiah testified in Isaiah 53:5, “He was pierced for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.” . By raising Jesus, who died in this way, God gave the assurance and hope of the resurrection to all who are dying in the Lord. In addition, I hope that we will all work harder in the Lord's work with the conviction of the resurrection. ④ He testified that everyone who believes in Jesus is justified (39). “Therefore, brethren, you know that through this man the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and that everyone who believes is justified through him in all things for which you were not justified by the law of Moses.” (28-29). The truth of being justified by faith was first witnessed here. No one will be justified by their works. Therefore, we should refrain from criticizing or condemning the actions of others. We thank God for being justified by faith alone, and hope that we will become more thoroughly believing people of the Lord.
2. The response of the audience who heard the gospel (42-52)
