Luxury goods (Acts 13:22)

Let's nurture our own values / Learn David who did not neglect self-innovation in the bean fields

It is a humor created by women's society. They compared women to balls. It is said that a teenage woman is like a soccer ball. It is said that 20 men desperately cling to one soccer ball. It is said that when you reach your twenties, that soccer ball turns into a basketball. Now, it is said that 10 men are desperately clinging to each other to win that one ball. It is said that when you reach your 30s, that basketball turns into a golf ball. It is said that a certain long-haired person puts it in a bag and goes around hitting it. It means that women in their 30s are now owned by a man. It is said that when you turn 40, that golf ball is now turned into a ping-pong ball. It is said that they are afraid of the ball coming over and are afraid to pass it over. It is said that when you turn 50, the ping-pong ball turns into a dodgeball ball. The point is that if you get hit by the ball, you will die unconditionally, so you desperately dodge the ball.

It is said that when you turn 60, dodgeball will eventually turn into an ozami. He says he is a ball, but others do not call him a ball, but Ozami. When you say 'It's that ball', other people say 'Ozamigu'. I mean how miserable. There's a reason the women's society created this humor by comparing them to balls. The reason is, ‘Women, let’s constantly innovate and develop ourselves in order not to be treated like an ozami’.

When I was young and immature, I loved luxury goods. If it wasn't for the maker, I didn't wear it, wear it, or carry it with me. But now I don't like luxury goods. At some point, this thought came to me. What I wear, wear, and carry is a luxury item, but if I am a fake, I am starting to think that I am not even a person who is inferior to the things I wear, wear, and carry. How miserable is this? At that moment, I made up my mind and made a promise. ‘I will make myself a luxury product.’ And I constantly tried to increase my own influence and brand value.

My hometown is 670 Sampo-ri, Samho-myeon, Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do. When you come to Seoul and talk at a certain meeting, you will come across the Jeolla dialect without realizing it. Then, most people thought, ‘Aha, a villager from Jeollanam-do is here,’ and seemed to lay down and look at me. However, as time passed and we had a logical conversation, I seemed to think, 'Aha, I think he's a village guy, but he's a guy with bones.' It was probably felt by anyone from the countryside, especially from Jeollanam-do. I wanted to upgrade myself to a dignified luxury while freely using the Jeolla dialect. I constantly tried to innovate and develop myself.

As I developed myself as a luxury product, it seems that it has become a useful tool even if it is not an excellent luxury product. Even now, I am lacking in many areas, but there are many schools, churches, and people who need me all over the country. Now I don't have many days in Mokpo. Everything is by God's grace. But shamefully I have a reason to write my story. Whether I live in the countryside, in the countryside, or in Seoul, I want to tell you that if I develop myself into a luxury product, I can become the person the world needs.

What is the message of today's text? Look at David shepherding sheep in the wilderness. Even though he is in the empty fields, it is a masterpiece, so does God not bring him out of the empty fields and set him up as a lamp for the nation? It is important to remember this fact. And to focus on innovating and developing me. It is to be prepared as a tool that is not lacking for the use of my God, the master.

Diamonds shine as diamonds wherever they are. And its value does not change. Let's continue to innovate and develop ourselves in the circumstances we are in, and make ourselves a luxury product. Let's become a masterpiece as a bride of Christ, a masterpiece as a disciple of Christ, a masterpiece as a professional, a masterpiece as a husband, a masterpiece as a wife, and a masterpiece as a parent. So that the owner can use it freely when he writes it. so as not to become an ozami.

Sermon notes

David is a person who focused on self-innovation and self-development while having a deep communion with God in an empty place where no one knows and nobody knows. The skill of throwing stones to prevent even a single sheep from being stolen by a wild beast defeated Goliath and saved the nation. Although he lived buried in the empty fields, he was a luxury.
