Title [Acts 16:1-5] Paul and Timothy
Meetings are very important. Because depending on who you meet, your life will change and your success or failure will depend on you. Not only that, but encounters play an important role in doing the Lord's work. The Bible testifies that the meeting between Paul and Timothy was very beneficial not only for them personally, but also for establishing the early church. Now, let's look at the contents of the text and receive grace together.
1. Paul made Timothy his servant (1-3).
③ Timothy was a young man who was praised by the local people (2). It means that you have been recognized both religiously and personally. It also means that his conduct was righteous, good, and faithful. When the early church raised up workers, it was important to raise people who were praised (Acts 6:3). It is only natural that, at least, if you are doing God's work, you should receive praise from people. When that happens, you will be able to do more effective ministry and reveal the glory of God. As shown in the text, when he was circumcised in order not to become an offense to the Jews, he did not refuse and obeyed, so you can see how good he is. I hope there will be more workers like this. Paul chose this precious young man as his co-worker, and through various training courses, he nurtured him as a good spiritual leader and made him look after the church, so I think Paul did a very valuable ministry.
2. The apostles and elders kept the rules set (4-5).
