Title Acts 02:36-42 Life in Heaven

Life in Heaven / Acts 2:36-42)

John 10:10 explains the purpose of Jesus' coming. “I came that they might have life and have it more abundantly.” After all, God was interested in His people. They were living and enjoying life. Satan makes us give up whatever it is.

How is your life? Are you proud that you are living a heavenly life? In Matthew 13:33, 'He also spoke in parables, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman puts into flour and swells." Saints in the world may be just a handful of yeast buried in flour, but they exist completely buried in flour. is not lost. Over time, a handful of yeast has completely changed the wheat flour of Seomal. Not only the appearance has been changed, but the ingredients themselves have been completely changed. This is Christianity, the church in the world, and the saints. What is the difference between yeast and wheat flour? It is the ability to change. It is an important reason for the saints to live the life in heaven. In today's text, the secret to living a life in heaven is presented.

1. The life in heaven is, of course, living by the Word.

The revival of the early church did not originate from anything else. It was the time to obey the Word. What is the most important truth in the Word? Today's verse is verse 36. The cross and the Lord Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul entered Rome as a prisoner and possessed nothing in the eyes of the world. But he had the invisible power of the Holy Spirit.

The early church used the word ' and ' as the same word. We acted and lived, thinking that a witness means a martyr. The church is accustomed to and teaches well how to win through faith in the world, but is unfamiliar with how to die by faith. Look at Hebrews 11. The first half shows the deeds of those who have won through faith. It is written that by faith he prepared the ark, and by faith he offered his son, and by faith he refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's princess and rejoiced in being humiliated with the people. However, in the second half of the story, it is said that by faith he had to be sawed all over his body, and by faith he had to live in a dark underground cave in sheep and goat skins, and to become food for lions in the amphitheater. Do you wish to live a heavenly life? I hope that you will become believers who live by holding on to the cross, which is the foundation of the Word. Rather than encouraging words, the early church members were pierced in their hearts before the crucifixion of Jesus Christ as their savior.

A man named Belt Angstra had this to say: Simply put, the thought of fear of God disappears from people's hearts. There was nothing unnatural about being tied down, so I thought I would live comfortably. But the result was not. As a result, even the smallest things can easily cause fear. When I get sick, I think of dying. Why are you living in this world with all your heart taken away? Even though we are given the qualifications to live the life in heaven, we do not know the true value of it because we do not know that it is so great.

2. Heavenly life is to live by the power of the Holy Spirit through repentance.

What did we say in Acts 1:8, which we know well? “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Here I am Jesus Christ, as Ephesians 1:21 says. After hearing Peter's brief sermons in the name of Jesus, people changed. The power of the name was clearly revealed in the fact that the mob who had been calling for Jesus to be crucified suddenly broke their hearts and repented. Luke 24:47,48 says, “It is written that repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem, in the name of Jesus, and you are witnesses of all these things.” A witness is said to be a martyr. If it is because of the name of Jesus, it means to live with the determination to die.

It was hopeless that the Christians of the early church would make them believe in Jesus, who were rushing to death, telling them to crucify Jesus. But the power of the name of Jesus has made the unrepentant heart repent. In Acts 4:10, when Peter was born, he raised a lame man from the beautiful gate of the temple and said to them, “Know you and all the people of Israel, that this man is standing before you in good health in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified and whom God raised from the dead.” Please believe that there is such amazing power of repentance in the name of Jesus.

Today, I sincerely hope that all the saints who go out to preach the gospel to the world as saints living the life in heaven, to the Korean church and unbelieving souls to the world. I hope that you will become believers who know how to fellowship through the Word and share the fellowship of the saints and strive to pray. Like the leaven that changes the beginning of flour, I sincerely hope that all the saints who are able to live in the kingdom of heaven will be able to live in the world even for a week.
