You are like a crippled man!!
Acts 3:1 - 10
Today's message is about a crippled man begging in front of the beautiful gate of the temple and being healed from the crippled man who had suffered for 40 years since he was born. appearance can be found.
The crippled reality
I haven't walked in 40 years.
This crippled man had never been seen inside the temple all his life.
The crippled man's mouth was always just asking for help.
The crippled man, ignorant of gratitude, spent years complaining, resentment, and curses.
How the crippled man has changed
I also ran and walked.
The changed lame went into the temple.
The transformed cripple became a helper from a lifelong helper.
The person who didn't know how to be thankful became the person who could be thankful.
The crippled reality
I haven't walked in 40 years.
These people are called cripples, and in modern terminology they are called disabled people.
People start walking little by little when they turn a stone, but this person is born with a congenital handicap that cannot walk.
However, what is more serious is that there are many spiritually crippled people today. If you cannot lead a life of faith on your own even after attending church for a long time, you are spiritually crippled.
Even on Sundays, if he fails to leave the church with his own faith and is dragged around by others, what is it other than being spiritually crippled and lame?
If you raise children and get married, you will follow your own path. Even if you have been living your life of faith for several decades, you have to lead them like a child, and you have to go to the church and pretend to be a cripple, but now you have to change.
(Romans 12:2) Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Like the cripple who was begging in front of the temple's beautiful gate, he believes that he needs to be refreshed by being healed by the word of the Lord at this time, as he finds himself like a crippled spiritually sick who only suffers and loses for the rest of his life.
This crippled man had never been seen inside the temple all his life.
This crippled man came only to the front door of the temple and did not enter the temple.
Among the church members today, there are believers who come to church every day, but do not go deep into the grace of God and always hang around the door. This is also a spiritually sick faith.
You cannot know the true taste of a fruit by peeling the skin and eating what is inside, but you cannot know the taste of any fruit by licking it.
(2 Corinthians 12:14) The apostle Paul said that when he confessed his experience of grace, he had ascended to the third heaven.
The Apostle John was exiled to the island of Patmos, and on the Lord's Day, he received a revelation about the things to come and recorded it according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
We pray in the name of the Lord that we too will experience the experience of entering into the deep grace of God, and that in this last age, we will obey God's word, keep our faith, and become the faith that overcomes sin and Satan every day.
The crippled man's mouth was always just asking for help.
This crippled man was taking advantage of the consciences of those who went to worship in front of the temple gates to beg for worship.
Even today, there are people who do not know how to give to others and only beg every day.
The Bible tells us to treat others as we would like to be treated (Matthew 7:12).
The crippled man, ignorant of gratitude, spent years of complaining, resentment, and curses.
My parents resented my parents for why I was born like this, lamented what to do with my mother-in-law Yoren, and cursed the people around me for 40 years.
Even among the saints today, there are people who have been living their life of faith for decades, but they do not thank him and always spend time with complaints and resentment from his mouth.
How the crippled man has changed
I ran and walked
40 How happy would it be to have someone who has been unable to stand up for the rest of his life got up and walked?
The crippled man did not know what to do with joy as he ran and walked.
I hope that all of you, too, will jump up from the crippled faith and show the joy of grace to your heart's content while running and walking.
The changed lame went into the temple.
This lame man, who had come to the front of the temple every day for 40 years until now, but had not seen it inside, was the first to enter the temple after being healed.
Just being able to enter the temple is something to be grateful for.
I still want to go to church, but I can't come because of my husband or my son. How grateful are you that you are free to come to church and worship?
There are 4 psalms of the Korahites (84, 85, 87, 88), and 84 of them are mournful psalms, lamenting that they could not enter the temple because of their ancestors' sins and longing for the temple.
(Psalm 84:1-4) O LORD of hosts, how lovely is your tent! My soul longs for the courts of the LORD, and grows weak; my heart and body cry out to the living God.
My king, my God, and the LORD of hosts, at your altar the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow has found a nest for its young.
One day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere; it is better to be a gatekeeper to my God than to dwell in the tents of the wicked.
I hope that you too will experience the profound grace and experience the mystical gift.
I hope that even those who have not been able to receive Holy Communion on Sundays for a year in their lifetime can experience deep grace.
Even those who have never been able to pray in the morning can experience the grace of early morning prayer.
I hope that those who have not been able to fast and pray all their lives will experience grace, and those who have not been able to tithe throughout their lives will experience grace and bear it.
The transformed cripple became a helper from a lifelong helper.
When you receive grace, you become a helper.
The early church members received grace on the day of Pentecost, and they did not consider what they had as mine, and worked diligently for the relief work.
Cornelius said that when he worked diligently for the relief work, the relief came to God and became a reminder of God.
If you, too, have only received help from others, now you should become a person who can help.
How many people have you helped not only materially but also spiritually?
Now, I pray in the name of the Lord that I may rise from the same seat as the crippled who only received help and be transformed into a faith that helps and guides others.
The person who didn't know how to be thankful became the person who could be thankful.
8 They ran and walked, and went into the temple with them, walking and jumping, praising God.
Many people said they were surprised to see them singing and glorifying God.
He, who had only complained, resented, and cursed until now, gave thanks to God.
If you have been complaining and resenting without giving thanks until now, I hope you will become a saint who can thank you now.
The crippled man who had been begging for 40 years in front of the temple's beautiful gate was transformed from his old self and became a completely new person.
Dear saints,
We too must be changed now, we must cast off old habits and become a new person.
I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will be transformed into a saint who knows how to give thanks while running, walking, and singing in a crippled reality.
