Title Acts 09:1-9 Saul's Conversion
Contents
Saul's conversion is the second most important event in Christian history after Pentecost. Until this time, the disciples had preached the teachings of the Lord and about the death, resurrection, and second coming of the cross only to the Jewish people, so it can be said that this is the moment when God's will to spread the gospel to the uncircumcised Gentiles is fulfilled. In that sense, God had a deep meaning in choosing Saul. Saul was born a Jew, received a Greek education, and held Roman citizenship. He also emphasized Judaism, respected Greek culture, and understood Roman law. At that time, he was familiar with religion, culture, and politics, which can be called the three major worlds. He is a person who will live without feeling intimidated in Jerusalem, Athens, or Rome. The Lord Himself intervened directly in Saul's conversion, salvation, and devotion. What a precious, important, and great event, the Lord was directly involved. A person is ‘born again. repent Changing.' is not an easy task. In particular, Saul was instrumental in persecuting, imprisoning, and even martyring many Christian believers. However, it is the work of God that such a person has been changed. [Acts 7:55-60]
