Title [Acts 9:10-19] Saul Converted
Saul met the Lord on the road to Damascus. I have heard the voice of the Lord and received the light of the Lord. Without a doubt, I fell on my knees to the Lord. The text records the story of how he was converted while he was unable to see, so he went into the city with the support of others and stayed in the house of Judah. Now, let us introduce the text of the text under the title of “Saul who was converted and received grace,” so that we can receive grace.
1. Saul fasted and prayed for three days (Acts 9:9,11).
These three days were an important and blessed period for Saul to be born again. During this period, a new interpretation of the Law, a new understanding of Jesus Christ, and a firm belief in God would have been reestablished. It can only be said that changing the knowledge, thoughts, or beliefs that have been held up until now is the result of great deliberation, pain, and surprising decisions. In particular, Luke's mention of three days while writing these words is a meaningful time that reminds us that Jonah stayed in the belly of a fish for three days and repented, and that Jesus was resurrected from the tomb on the third day. In any case, Saul fasted for three days and thoroughly repented and confessed about the wrong conduct and faith of the past. To become a true Christian, this conversion process is absolutely necessary. If there are believers who have not yet repented of the past, I hope that you will provide an opportunity to fast, repent, and make a decision now.
2. God gave Saul the grace to become a perfect Christian through Ananias.
