Title Adullam Church (March 7)

Content span id="writeContents"> Main text: 1 Samuel 22:1~2

I hope you all become blessed people like the praises of the choir today.

Please stand next to us and say hello together.

“Why do I look so good when I see you?” But not very good faces.

Let's do it again. “Are you happy because of me?”

“God, shouldn’t you grant me that wish? Shouldn't you make that wish come true? That heart that values the pastor, God, it must go well.”

“He who honors the church, who honors God, if you know me, I will know you; if you honor me, I will honor you.”

The church is a gathering of people who honor God in this way. Those who believe that God is more precious than anything else in the world, and that even if they lose everything in the world, they can be satisfied with only Him, and who are convinced that they can recover with just one name. These are the beneficial members of the church believe that it is

When you look at a person's life, there are times when they succeed and there are times when they fail. No matter how successful a person is, there are times in their life that are dark and there must be some disappointments and failures. But those who have a short period of failure and a long period of blessing are those who are successful. But some stupid people have a period of failure too long. If any of you who attended this worship service today say you are in a position of failure, please shorten the period of failure as soon as possible.

Today, I am going to try to find the image of a blessed person through a person named David. He is a person who quickly ended failures even in such a repetitive life of success and failure. As we well know, God gave Samuel a mission through the prophet Samuel to anoint one of the sons of the family of Jesse who would become the second king of Israel.

A notice was sent to the house of Jesse, and the prophet Samuel went to the house. I heard that Jesse would set up a king among his sons, but after thinking about it, he couldn't wait for all of them. One of those sons needed a son to watch over the flock.

When Jesse thought about it, David, the youngest of his sons, was the most foolish among them. He is not a royal prince even when you look at his appearance and everything else. No one else knew about it, but his parents knew it, so Jesse had his son David watch the flock, wash the other sons clean, and meet the prophet Samuel. But in the end, God had the prophet Samuel summon David and anoint David's head with oil.

Through this incident, God has taught us a lesson, that people take on outward appearances, but God does not take people according to their outward appearance. He is a God who looks at the heart of a person and takes it.

What causes people to always fail in their choices? People always make the choice of failure because they choose based on external things. The culture these days is not only handsome, but it is all external.

After being chosen in this way, later in the fight against Goliath, he went out with the name of God and won. There was nothing wrong with anything. But in the end, he was hated by King Saul. He was forced to flee to the Philistines. Whether he died or lived in the land of Israel... God anointed him, and he should have waited and believed that God would take care of him. I even did crazy things to avoid that death.

The reason David did crazy things was that the Philistines never killed a madman. I didn't touch it because I thought that if I killed a crazy person, the crazy ghost inside would rush to the killer. David took advantage of that weakness to do something crazy.

What a shame a man of God, who would become a future king, went to an enemy country and did crazy things…. How ashamed he was himself….

A person of God must bow down and pray in the Church of God, no matter how hard they face. Ladies and gentlemen, no matter what we do, in the church... When things go well, when things don't work, when times are hard, when things fail, we must bow down before God.

After going down to the bottom of his life, he realized this and returned to a place called Adullam Cave. It was only after he had descended to the point where he could not go any further, that he met God. Failure is, after all, a tragic event from a human point of view, but from a spiritual point of view, failure is a golden opportunity to meet God. When you fail, thank God for seeing God in your tears. Christians are not afraid of failure.

It was only then that David saw God so great and great. So he cried out. “All those who have failed like me, and those who have suffered this hard like me, come together with me,” he shouted. At that time, there were 400 people who gathered. According to the Bible, they were people who were in tribulation, people who complained, and people who were in debt. The church is not a place where the powerful, the rich, or the honored gather. The church is always a place where people in need gather to be comforted by the Word of God. The church brags about power, the church brags about wealth, and the church shows off my status, not the church.

I remember going to San Francisco a few years ago to testify to you. I go to San Francisco and there is Pajama Day once a year. Speaking of pajama day, it doesn't matter what time the day is, the students don't come to school at a set time. You don't even need to bring a book that day, and that day you just come to school in the same clothes you slept in, literally in your pajamas. So, whatever it is, the way you sleep... Just the way you were lying around at home... You just come without washing your face. I didn't understand it at first.

But why do we make Pajama Day one day a year? It means that we want students to be able to see each other as they really are.

I wondered what it would be like to have our church set up a pajama Sunday. I'm sure most of the people at our church will come with a bottle of wine. If you set a pajama week, you don't have to wear makeup on that day, right? Just like the clothes you wore at home, your face without washing your face, if someone who drank yesterday just brings a bottle of alcohol, it will probably be one of two things, whether our church will be revived or destroyed.

What does this mean? The church comes out as it is before God. It's not about dressing up before God. It is saying that the church is not something that changes the voice with pretense and hides what is inside of me. Come before the Lord as you are.

Youth unemployment is a very serious social problem these days. From Oryukdo, Saojeong, who said they would retire in their 40s and 50s.... This is a classic, and these days, it has been passed down to the era of Itaebaek after 38. It is even said that placenta in their twenties is white.

Are you talking about that one person? Isn't this the story of the young people around us all feeling the same and having pain in their hearts? It is said that each family owes 30 million won each.

What is the debtor in today's text? I didn't get into debt because of my own fault, but because of the social structure, I was forced into debt. I said this to the young man.

“As a pastor, I cannot lend you money. Money can't help But if there is one thing I can say, it seems that everything is lost, but God is still in your heart, right? That God will surely raise you up again.”

What is the Church? We believe in it. We believe in a God who raises us up no matter what the circumstances. You can't trust society. You can't trust politics. You can't trust the president. We definitely believe in something. We believe that God will surely raise us up again. That God speaks to us. “Don’t be sad. don't be bitter You will face tribulation, but don't be afraid. Don't be discouraged by debt. I am with you.”

David is speaking to those gathered at Adullam. “Come with me to gain strength from the Word of God. Let's get strength from the word of our God. Let's get our strength back. God is on our side.” At David's words, all 400 men gained strength and comforted each other.

Those 400 people got together. I didn't call him a bad person. I didn't call him a thief or a thief. comforted each other. I shared my heart. We prayed together. We shared our feelings of regret and hardship together.

How are you? Didn't the 400 people of Adullam, who were resentful, resentful, and indebted, become great people who made a new history in Israel?

Ladies and gentlemen, I want our church to be an Adullam church. Let's comfort each other. Let's comfort those who are in tribulation. People who complain, let's break our hearts and cry together. For those who are structurally in debt, let's pray for them together before we get hurt.

Therefore, as the 400 members of Adullam created a new history in Israel by gaining strength again, I hope that our church will have a great power to create a new history in society.

The church of Adullam is our church. The story of Adullam is what we are writing today. Toward society, we may be weak. It may be very insignificant. But God.... The God who worked through those 400 people is still with us today. We will pray with you.

“Thank you, Father God. Just like the 400 people who shed tears in Adullam, we are in a quandary as we look at society and feel heartbroken because of the social structure, as we are in debt, as we are, as we are sad. However, please be comforted by your Word, help us encourage each other, and help us overcome this difficulty through prayer. God, who wrote a new history in Israel through the 400 Adullam members, help our church to achieve the greatness of writing a new history for this difficult and difficult society. I earnestly pray in the name of Jesus. Amen."
