Title - After Conviction of Salvation

Word - Romans 8:31-39

First, we are protected by God (verse 31, second half).

Just like the saying, ‘Who can be against us,’ God protects and guides us so that no force can invade us. This is where God's great love resides. A person chooses easily, gets bored and gives up. A ‘fashion’ can be said to be a lifestyle created by the psychology of a person. Man easily repeats choices and giving up, but God never easily gives up on his chosen people. The Israelites disobeyed and turned away from God's will hundreds of times, but despite their rebellion, God did not forsake them to the end and protected them. God neither sleeps nor sleeps. (Psalm 121:4) How much less can God not protect the saved people. The people of God must be protected, guided, and taken care of by God.

Second, God gives everything (verse 32).

God gave everything as a gift with his most precious Son. That is why God is the giver of everything else. God who loves us and who gives us all things as a gift with his Son, Jesus Christ, gives us eternal heaven and glory and gives us generously as a gift. Therefore, we cannot separate ourselves from the love of Christ, which has grown abundantly after being saved (verse 35). Even in the midst of suffering, Job did not complain or complain. Rather, he confessed that it was the Lord who gave and the Lord who took away. (Job 1:21) He had fellowship with God and was transformed into a perfect man. We must not break with any persecution (Matthew 5:10-12), and we must not betray God even in the face of persecution and famine (2 Corinthians 11:20-21). Even in the face of threats from the Gentiles and the Roman army (2 Corinthians 11), we must become like those who realize the presence of God. The apostle Paul confessed, “Who will separate us from the love of Christ?” Therefore, we should thank God for everything and live boldly.

Third, he gives us enough victory (verse 34).

There are three most difficult things to overcome. The first is myself. It is very difficult, but in Jesus Christ, when I die and a new “I” is born again, I can overcome myself and become a victor without giving in. The second is death. However, we should not be afraid because the problem of death was solved by Jesus dying on the cross. Third, the devil is not enough to overcome with my own strength. However, we can overcome Satan with the power of Jesus. All things can be done with confidence (verse 38). It can only be felt by those who profess the faith. ‘We believe in the power and providence of the Lord. We believe that the Lord’s victory is my victory.’ I believe that we must become Christians with this kind of confidence.
